He did ok but is not a good footballer. He is unable to play the ball first time and to even get it under control to do well with his second touch is a problem. This is not a short memory as this is a running joke all around me in the South.He was actually pretty good back end of last season. People have short memories.
I have never doubted his commitment and his effort but to suggest otherwise is not right. I have taken to watch him, probably more than healthy, but have to say for someone who has come through Ajax then he does not play football well. He has certain attributes- strongish and reasonable pace.
Having said that I was there on Saturday and would never boo a player, other than 1 I’ve mentioned in this thread a while back (and close to 2). And to be clear I was also there on the night of the Ghaly match. Let’s get this right. He did not deserve to be booed, as no one should, but I can’t concede he does ok as some form of defence for the way he plays. Once again I’m not sure the club bought the Rolls Royce they were obviously after. Big Dave 🫣
