This to be honest, nothing other than a United win, saving Ole’s skin, how many times have we played a top team on a shit run and for them to bounce back against us.I can't see anything other than a defeat, quite possibly without a shot on target.
I'm going - when it came down to it being there rather than listening to GNev and Keane wittering on was more preferable. And who knows maybe we'll win..Put my ticket on the exchange for this one. Can't be arsed.
just can't see one of their numerous attacking players not scoring at least once.Obviously, both manager would be happy with a draw. They will sit deep, because they cannot press, we will sit deep to not give space to Greenwood, Bruno, Ronaldo and whoever else will play on the left.
A boring 0:0 anyone?
This is the conundrum that Nuno is faced with. We are totally powder puff outside of Kane and Son. There are no goals outside of these 2 and our opponents know this and set up accordingly. Watch MOTD and any top half team seem to have far more attacking option on the pitch and on the bench. Basically the result of years of terrible signings and failure to sign the right players. Nuno can't change this on a consistent basis at the moment. Possibly they have a deal or 2 lined up for January? Until then, I think he will have little choice than to play safety first , especially against the better teams, in the hope that Son or Kane might just do something. One practical thing he could try is to focus. more on our set pieces. We do have people- Dier, Sanchez, Rodon, who could be a presence at corners and our free kicks are dreadful. It just feels like a lot to ask from us each game when the only person who you can really see potentially getting on the scoresheet is Son, and even he's been a bit up and down at times. Playing with what feels like no striker really doesn't help things. At least a high energy front 3 may help the team as a collective a bit more.
