Really need another right back in desperately
Yup. If we're playing a back 3 then Doherty is a useful wingback, but he's Championship standard at best in a back 4. And that's being kind.

Huge weakness in that position unless we can get Aurier fit or someone else in.

Never thought I'd be so happy to see Aurier tbh.

Someone said Bergwijn doesn't have pace to beat his man.... He did.

This is pre-season and we don't even half our potential starting line up and signings here yet. I'm not worried about this either way. I think we are struggling until October when all starts to click.

I love every pre season and the knee jerk reactions. Does anyone remember , we all dream of a team of Darren Bents. I bloody do. How did that go ?

No need to be insulting our own players. He was bloody good under Nuno at Wolves. He deserves to be judged in a year's time after some actual coaching. Thought already he's done much better and shown more aggression going forwards today, really should've had a penalty too.

Its insulting too say he should go too, he has been beyond poor again, worse is him lacking any passion, any trying, any desire , if he showed any of that you could maybe, maybe have an argument, but he simply limp in every aspect

I mean, people are entitled to be worried because by then our season could be over in terms of Top 4 at least, let alone more than that. But there's little to be done about it.

Some of us still remember how Sissoko went from a similarly poor first year to, for a time at least, a bit of a cult hero.

I always feel sorry for Bergwijn... He doesn't seem confident no matter how much he plays. I really think it's not going to work out for him here.
This did naaaat age well ;p

It isn't though really. Gio to come in... Er... Can't rule Kane in... Who else to come in... Aurier?
Hopefully Ndombele, Romero, Tomiyasu, Vlahovic, Gill, and maybe a couple more too. Just not in time for the start of the season, which is an issue.

Pre-season is meant to be about integrating new players as well as getting fitness into the legs of players and coach them on the shape and patterns of play. It's honestly something I can never remember us doing.

Everyone needs to stop judging so much.

Its a friendly, hence Chelsea pulling their entire team off after 60 minutes.

We have a lot of players missing and hopefully some good signings on the way.

This negativity is killing us.

If son had any vision that was a goal.

Helps when Kante is off the pitch

Poor Skipp was getting pelters because he couldn't match upto him which was quite laughable if I'm honest.
Sorry SD, that's not fair mate. Skipp looked off the pace on more than a few occasions earlier in the game which is why people were commenting. Improved as the game has gone on though tbf.
