Crooks tries to sound intelligent and speaks with conviction but he's still a dimwit.

My mate saw him in a restaurant during a World Cup abroad (can’t remember where but it was about 15 years ago). He introduced himself as a yiddo and asked for a picture. Crooks said ‘no, if I do it for you, I have to do it for everyone’ and waved him away. England had already been knocked out at this stage and there were no England fans around. He’s hated Crooks ever since ?

The prat from Sky Sports at our training ground just blurted out "Spurs still living off putting 6 past Man Utd" or close to that... Living off? Its been less than 24hrs you idiot.

Why do people care what the media say about us post game? I watch the highlights, watch the interviews and switch off.

Thats you though, everyone is different. Some people would like to watch the punditry and see the club get the props after a game like that.

I tend to listen out for pundits that actually give us credit when it's due. Sadly very few do, even after yesterday and the week we had. Going into that week we shouldn't have come out smashing United like we did. Everyone should have been knackered well and truly.

Shame, but José was right when he said nobody respects us. That may actually work in our favour with him as boss. I remember a few seasons back Dier said after we beat City (I think) that we didn't get the credit we deserve. We still don't.

Sometimes it is nice to get the credit from the media and pundits but whilst I think some of what has been said of our win has been about Manure i dont think we should be caught up in it.

This isnt about the game as to why theyre focussing on Manure, its not just a loss but a humiliation and that delivers another story line re OGS out which generates further discussion

No point in just saying oh yeah spurs played great and demolished Manure - that isnt a story line.

Im not one to give a damn about pundits and what they say and whether they say we played well or not, couldnt care but I appreciate others want that - unfortunately our story doesnt generate the interest that Manure descending into a farce does. Thats why we have a couple of threads in the football forum containing thousands of posts laughing at the likes of Liverscum and Manure and Arsenal.

Do you not think they’d wax lyrical about Utd if the score were the other way round?

No doubt they’d lay into JM, but I’d wager that the minutes allocated to each team would be exactly the same.

Football Weekly and The Totally Football Show were good listens on today's episodes. For FW it helps that Max Rushden's dad is a Spurs fan.

They would but don't forget the pressure on jose isn't as big as it is on ole at the moment.

The team has started poorly and the club is under a microscope. We aren't. It's all about the underlying plot.

Remember when Poch was going through a bad time, we had the worst of it.

I think everyone acknowledged we were superb but we need to see this for the next few games before concluding for now.

I don’t doubt they’d have stuck the knife into JM had we lost, for about 5 minutes.

The rest of the time they’d have been banging on about Utd’s title challenge.

Sky have zero impartiality, they devoted all that time on Utd because they were only ever going to devote that time to Utd, win or lose.

Disagree. ALWAYS talks up Spurs
I don't care who he 'talks up'. He was an Arsenal fan as a boy, he played for West Ham and subsequently managed them. He managed Portsmouth twice and several other clubs, of which we were one. To say that he's Spurs is just fucking stupid.
