Casual racism is Souness all over, imagine if he said that's what you get with African playersDid he actually say "that's what you get with Latin players" when talking if the sending off?

Lol. Walked past him in my tesco meat aisle and he gave me the eyes. The biggest compliment I can pay Lamela is that he’s exactly the type of person who would trip up a child in Asda if he thought no one was watching.
When the red card was brandished yesterday and Lamela's name was mentioned, I just knew there would be shithousery involved. He is the greatest shithouse in the Premier League:
1. The beautiful stamp on that greasy little Fabregas prick
2. The winding up of Wilshere - called him a pussy and laughed in his face from memory
3. The over the top tackle on Fabregas in the 3-1 at Stamford Bridge
4. Yesterday's antics
That he's never been sent off, despite being booked in what seems like every game, shows his genius. Him and Jose together is the most unholy of alliances.
I'd be going mental if it was happening against us but I've a pain in my hole feeling like Spurs have been robbed by being too nice.
As someone above said...Erik Lamela - my shithouse. And what a shithouse.
Don't forget how liverpool raged about him a few seasons back when he came on and got us a penalty etc.

In no realm is that not a penalty. The fact Liverpool of all teams had the temerity to claim it wasn't...
Both him and Martial should have got a slap on the wrist, told to stop fucking about and then we should have got on with the game
It’s all bollox. Reminded me of Beckhams sending off in the World Club. Also a complete load of bollox
Just like Fernandes falling over in the box every chance he gets for a Pen
Far too much gamesmanship and shithousary these days and everyone’s allowed to get away with it
I hate it all.
Luckily we now have a manager that will not stand for it....
I do have a degree of sympathy for refs in the modern game. Players are always trying to con them. However, the other side of the coin is that the refs don't give free kicks or penalties when a player is fouled but doesn't exaggerate that they've been fouled, e.g. they stay on their feet.
In terms of the laws of the game, the ref got it spot on. Lamela's was a yellow card offence, Martial's was a red card. In terms of common sense I'm 100% with you. Both players should have been yellow carded and told to shut the fuck up.
I still think it's time an orange card was introduced that effectively confines a player to a sin bin for 15 minutes. Yellow cards are dished out so easily now that it would give the ref more control if they could also dish out orange cards for 2x Yellows or 1x Orange etc. It would make Red cards rarer.
All that said, I've lost count of the amount of times over the years Utd players have cheated us or been unsportsmanlike. So I don't have that much sympathy for them in this case......
I will never forget the reports that came out almost 5 years ago (Feb 2016), when Danny Rose was having dinner with Lamela and he asked Lamela if he thought that Spurs could really get into the top 4. Rose said... 'I've never seen someone look at me with such disgust.
'Lamela replied: "My friend, we can win the league."
Lamela looked disgusted when I asked about top four, says Rose
KIERAN GILL: The pair were having dinner in mid-February when the defender asked the 23-year-old winger whether he believes they can qualify for the Champions League.www.dailymail.co.uk
Whatever we may feel about Lamela's performance in certain games, his unlucky injury record etc., one thing that should never be in doubt is that Lamela has a world-class winner mentality. His passion and intelligence on and off the pitch are elite level, and an inspiration to the teammates around him. He's an invaluable member of the squad.
