Jose is exactly the right manager for us right now.
Took a while for most of us to realise and accept it hey but he’s building a squad of warriors and winners and slowly changing the mentality, he’s weeding out the ones who don’t have the right attitude or who after he’s given them the chance still aren’t putting in the required effort then they’re out (Rose, Dele, Ndombele etc) Rose is a bad influence and is out, Dele has been given chances but could be off as he’s not responding or the level Jose wants and Ndombele showed that if you do buck your ideas up then Jose will happily play you if you give 110%, sure it won’t be for everyone but that ruthlessness is fergiesque and it’s what we’ve missed as a club basically forever or at least since Bill Nic. And the football we play is even fine generally under Jose now so just all so positive.

COYS! Absoloutley buzzing tonight.

I've always loved Jose..wanted him to be out manager years ago. He seems to love the project with us. I adored his Inter team and to a slightly lesser extent the Porto team. At those times I was in love with the efforts of the players. Players like Materazzi crying for him, proper warriors all over the pitch. There's nothing better than seeing warrior mentality in sport.

I knee-jerked after that run of defeats where we looked clueless and now regret my vote haha. He’s doing something here, just as he has pretty much everywhere he’s gone. He’s building a mentality and getting the players to fight for each other as a team, not as 11 individuals on the pitch. If he gets the last couple of puzzle pieces he wants for his squad I think this could be a very good year... looks at the fact the season ends 01... hmmm

Jose has shown what a few of us could see, the players were running the club and not giving their all. I appreciate some will never accept him regardless of what he does but it’s impossible to deny he’s doing a first class job. 6 automatic choices didn’t start tonight, it can only get better from here.

I don't know if its been posted here, but you need to check out Playbook on Netflix. Not only is it a great insight into Jose, but it shows you how he values players understanding their role, the amount they need to sacrifice are more important than tactics for a lot of management. It allows decision making to be automatic in the game.

It feels things are slowly taking shape. Tonight was a big win.

He's no more "past it" than Ferguson would be if he came back to rescue United from their slump.

Thank you for reminding me! Need to watch that. Might put it on in a bit actually. ??

I said this countless times.. we lacked a winning mentality for decades and Jose brings exactly that.

Let's be patient. This project could take time. But it will be worth it..

The last 2 games we've been playing great stuff. Prime Pochball esque. Can't wait to see what the team looks like in another month!

We can put to bed the nonsense that Jose doesn't have any dressing rooms (man utd included) anymore. Lloris, Dier, Toby, Davies, Lucas, Lamela etc playing like warriors for him.

The only players who don't get on with him are the celebrity players or the image players.
It was always the same with Fergie at Man Utd - he upset and fell out with players, but never lost the dressing room - some big players (ability and celebrity) were moved on.

We shouldn't forget that several of our players attempted a mini coup when Poch first took over, but he won the dressing room and they got shipped out. Our beloved Tim really did lose the dressing room...the difference between a top manager and a wanabee in a gilet.

It would be naive to expect everyone to be happy and cooperative after a change of regime. Like with Poch, Jose needs at least two transfer windows to sort the squad out. Signing Hojbjerg, Doherty and Hart shows that attitude is more important to Jose than reputation.

The performances against Southampton, Newcastle, and Chelsea have been hugely encouraging. We look like a team that can win something and that's with Bale still to be added to the mix, Reguilon only having just made his debut and a world class defender potentially still to be added. Massive credit to Jose.

We are Probably the last big club he will
manage in the PL so I can see him sticking with us for quite a while if he gets the backing from Levy and co, I’m super excited for our future if he decides he wants to stay for the long term.

Hindsight and all that but I think the CL final might have played out differently had he been the one in charge. But we will never know.
Funny you say that cause he was doing punditry with Wenger for it and I remember thinking at the time, because of the way he was talking, he'd have had really good tactical plan for that night.

It's also the night I started to imagine him as our coach.

Jose managed that game to perfection. Rotated the team not to burn key players out.

Reserve energy in the first half and then massively up the intensity in the second half. Believe it or not this 'busted flush' knows what he is doing, long may it continue.

Yup. Genuinely thought he'd get one over Frank today.

I watched Liverpool knock it long time and again last night, more than we have recently, yet you don’t get klopp being called a dinosaur for doing it. Fans listen to the media and repeat it parrot fashion without engaging their brains. The man knows what he’s doing. Let’s let him do it, see what happens and with a little luck we could be sitting pretty at the end of the season.

Need another striker though...
