This is how I would have expected Bruce to be. I get Wilson is trying to be funny, but in this instance just be honest. It will go against them sooner or later and he won't like it then.
No class from him. He's quick to forget losing 2 points to the terrible hand-ball law more or less relegated his former team last season. Not that he gives a fuck about them now.

We can't allow this result to send us into a poor winless run like last season. A loss against United will likely leave us 8 points off the top after 4 matches.
Its early days still, this result hurts but there's no reason it should send the team into a downward spiral. if anything it ought to galvanise us.

Probably the best performance under Mourinho, to be fair. Too bad the way it ended. Son being out is a disaster.

Would also like us to waste time by passing the ball instead of starting to try and create throw ins along the line from the 85th minute...

It’s the only rule I can think of that is more likely to be given in the penalty area than anywhere else on the pitch

And he probably is honest, with these rules as a main penalty taker he will score a lot

if we play like we did today score 0-1 then play the game out instead of scoring a second or third then well likely be as you say, jose has to coach this crap out of them or not

What a load of fucking shit football in the premier league has become. Shit refs and shit rules. They should band together and refuse to play until the law is changed or at least applied with some common sense. It’s broken beyond repair imo. Until it happens as regularly to united or city or Liverpool though, fuk all will be done. Jose’s right as we all know and see every week, one rule for the protected few, one for everyone else.

And people were up in arms that we didn’t sign him...there’s one of the reasons right there...that and he’s shit..

We had dominated the game, created more chances and scored the only goal. There was no messing about - we kept the opposition under constant pressure and didn't allow them to create any chances.

Why should we have to score an extra 1 or 2 goals to get the result we deserve, just in case we get screwed over by a ridiculous rule that is repeatedly bringing the game into disrepute?

If we'd made a defensive error that led to the injury time equaliser, your comment of "only ourselves to blame" would be valid. However, in this case there was not a single defensive error leading to a chance for Newcastle.
I am sorry in the second half we did not press home the advantage. We took our foot off the gas and were always vulnerable to a the odd attack late on. Newcastle are an awful side they should have been thrashed..

Hindsight talking, we were in absolute control of that match despite taking our foot off the gas.

3 x Referee VAR STARS. Funny how so many are in 90 mins or injury time in close games. Don't get many in a Sheff U v Burnley in the 5th minute. *****!

Jamie O'Hara said after the game that the way forward will be to stick two 6ft 5in forwards up front and just keep launching balls into the box and screaming for handball every time. Can't say I disagree with him because it worked for Andy Carrol.

You gotta be some sort of weirdo to be watching these decisions and want to defend the officials and laws over the actual fucking game
Exactly, is there anyone who thinks the game of football is better to watch now than it was before VAR? Even during the Pedro Mendez incident I can't recall feeling this level of disgust at the state of the game.

I keep watching out of loyalty to Spurs at the moment but can't often bring myself to watch other matches anymore.

I largely gave up on football a long time ago. It’s only Tottenham that keeps me remotely interested.

Oh, and laughing at West Ham lol

United away- 2 up and penalty against Gomes after he won the ball.

A year or so later Gomes thinks it's a free kick and goes to take it, United player knocks the ball and scores. Ref completely failed to deal with situation.

On and on and on

Gomes thinking it's free kick wasn't the referees fault, he didn't blow the whistle the game hadn't stopped it was Gomes' fault no one else's.
