We have lo celso , Dele, Ndombele (seems he’s getting given time) and Bergwyn .... I don’t think we get anyone better in those positions personally so would rather stick with what we have. Ramsay would not be a step up from lo celso in that role.

Its not about replacing like for like. You think Lo Celso can be the man for 60 straight games this season? The guy needs breaks and the team should not rely completely on him. When he is injured we have a trouble and are one step away of the Winks/Sissoko axis.

I would welcome Ramsey. Can not see it though.

More from Dragon:

Am told us passing on Ramsey is not the end of possible midfield search we feel we are a little light on creativity there.

Personally pleased by this news. Bale, Reguilon and a Striker is amazing enough but if we can add a creative midfielder too I'll probably pass out.

Doesn't bode well for Ndombele

I dunno. He's still not a true number 10 type of playmaker and whilst he is creative, he's adapting still.

If you've seen ep 9 of All or Nothing then you'll see how he's struggled with both off-field issues and injuries.

In my view we need a david silva type of player or at the very least a number 8 that has creative qualities. When Lo Celso doesn't play we are lacking in that area and until Ndombele is starting regularly we need someone else.

I can’t imagine how overproduced the Bale announcement video will be. Surely it will be him Bungie jumping off the sky walk?

I was thinking a game of thrones battle scene on the pitch and he comes on a horse with armour and sword riding in on horseback, and then stands shoulder to shoulder with Kane before battle commences...

I agree we're too reliant on Lo Celso. And he's clearly played through an injury/condition last season which will likely mean we need to be careful with him this.

I'm also hopeful that Bale & Reguilon will lead to a change in formation (poss 3-4-3) because I really don't like how we're set up currently. 3-4-3 will give us more attacking options and will better suit a number of the players.

Anyway apologies, taking the thread off track!!

If we are as ITK suggests planning for a creative midfielder I think the point others and I are making is it should be a number 10 style creative... Ramsay wasn’t creative more of a makes good late runs type

He was exhibiting very negative body language in one of the scenes.

I don’t think we can underestimate the impact of these signings once they go through. Our squad has been stale for so long, we’ve needed this massive lift.

Can you imagine the first training session, everyone should have a rocket up their arses.
