It’s because the fans have created and perpetuated a False narrative where he has a bad attitude and falsifies injruries to not play for us. One mans rumour swiftly becomes another mans truth; when a person says “oh What if he’s not actually injured he’s saving himself for a transfer” down the line our fans see that as fact.
For a spurs fan base who value flair and technique there is such a great deal of negativity and hate towards a maverick player. But if his face doesn’t fit they just don’t take to him.
It’s really sad to see and we could be losing a potential world class player and trying to buy in CM when our stock will be at its lowest for years.
Mourinho has ostracized many players at various clubs, many of which are higher profile than Nombele. Ozil at RM, Martial at Man U. It's part of his plan and who he is.
Ozil was CR's top assister and Martial was Man U's key player; both of them are more important to their clubs than Nombele is to us. Mourinho always seems to win these type of battles. Lack of tracking-back is what's common to both these players.
So its very likely that Nombele falls into a similar category of 'talented but not solid' player that JM hates. The only players who get away with this are strikers who could play on their own.
I dont see a way out for Nombele unless he changes his game significantly. I think he still has time, but the signs aren't good because he hasn't played enough since the re-start when we have 2 games every week.
I think alot of the time you just have to accept that a player wont adjust to the methodology of a coach/club. For example take Dimitri Payet; doubtless talent, but no way he would work under JM. The same goes to Nombele i feel.
Indeed, I’m no Jose happy clapper, but Ozil was sold because Perez needed money to buy Bale, his next galactico. When exactly mourinho ostracized ozil from real madrid????? I highly doubt you watch ozil under Mourinho at real madrid ...

And Juan Mata. He was Chelsea's player of the year before Mourinho returned. Jose bombed him out.Mourinho has ostracized many players at various clubs, many of which are higher profile than Nombele. Ozil at RM, Martial at Man U. It's part of his plan and who he is.

I totally agree with a lot of what people have said here re Ndombele.
The guy has to go. What is the point of him?
Errr, Mourinho and Ozil joined Madrid in the same summer, Mourinho built the side around Ozil, and Ozil left the same summer as Mourinho.Any way what a brilliant move by Jose to get Ozil moved on before he arrived at Real Madrid . He is one overated player a bit like Eriksen .
If Ndombele goes I’ve got a sneaking suspicion it’ll be to PSG. They’re one a small handful of clubs who have been unleashed by the CAS decision in the City case, and they’ve been strongly linked. It’s plausible to me that we might be able to get a big fee from them.
That would explain why he's so shitA bit like when half the idiots on here convinced themselves lamela was a junkie
Hopefully as this could work really well.Starting to think Hojbjerg has been his replacement all along. Maybe Jose wants Lo Celso at 10 with two holding players in the double pivot.
there's not enough creativity in a midfield of Højbjerg and presumably Winks/Sissoko, we would really regret binning off Ndombele, I know he's had a dreadful season but it would be stupid to give up on him so easilyHopefully as this could work really well.
Get some good money back on Ndombele, then get Hoyjberg and a RB with the Ndombele money and possibly even still some cash to spare.

Coutinho would be good, he can score some worldies ... But if jose can get one of Partey or SMS, our team will be transformed to another level ...
Have you not watched him play? At times he has come in and turned the game around. He has scored goals and his forward passing is unreal. He’s had a much greater impact than Taraabt. And he was injured a lot too earlier. Can’t believe you attribute his performance to Poch getting sacked. That is reaching.People keep saying this but honestly, he’s done nothing more in his brief appearances than Adel Taarabt did. At least Adel could last 80 minutes in games though and not 20. He will never be a world class player if he can only play for that long. The world is littered with this type of player, it’s just a shame it’s come to fruition here with us. I’m amazed the amount of grace people are willing to give a £60m signing on £200k a week. It’s not football manager, we can’t afford to have a depreciating asset like him sat around doing nothing.
This just needs to be put down as a bad transfer from all parties and get him off the books for a decent fee. If we got £40 million for him and that bought us 2/3 players in the positions we need it we’d be a better team and squad for it. Now more than ever that has to be the chairman and manager’s mindset and I suspect it will be. They have more information on the player in behind the scenes data than we see so will make a decision based on that too and act accordingly.
