If the same problems that were apparent under Poch are now manifesting under Jose, then maybe the manager isn’t the issue...

totally imbalanced squad, a lack of quality, no holding midfielder, no striker back up, second rate full backs, old/past it center backs and no depth, a weak youth set up with second rate light weight players coming through and still no youth director (look at the calibre of your players at the other “big 6”)

Those things point to lack of investment and structural issues that go beyond the manager

The point isn’t that the manager is the issue, the point is that this manager does not instil any confidence in his ability to turn it around.

Not a single shot on goal yesterday. The display yesterday speaks for itselves; it’s not Josè’s fault that none of the players are able to produce a single shot or create a chance. Keeps falling over when a run is attempted.

We’ve been in the bin since March/April last year. Blame Josè all you want but the fact is; The squad are in a dire need of change. We rely on players like Kane, Alli and Son every time, it’s time we find replacements...

Do you think our academy is better than Liverpool, City, West Ham & Saints (City have high calibre - they just don't get a chance because they spend, similar to chelsea before Lampard came in but look at Sancho, Foden etc)?

Genuine question.
Last season only United academy graduates played more minutes in PL than ours. Also we are benefiting more from Kane/Winks/Skipp/Tanganga than City from Foden and Garcia, LFC from TAA,Jones and Williams, West Ham from Rice and Noble and Southampton from JWP and Stephens.

Lo Celso had 9 goals and 5 assists last year in La Liga (first season in the league in a much worse team), he only has 1 right now and that assist came of Michael Keanes chest. The replacements aren't even attacking well under these tactics.

Is our current form Mourinho's fault or the players? Boring answer but I think our problem is a combination of the two.

Those who think Mourinho isn't to blame at all must be blind. We've played some of the most bland, risk averse, turgid football in living memory over recent months. If managers like Chris Wilder, Hasenhuttl and Potter can get teams with 1/3 of our collective talent playing some progressive, eye-catching stuff, the very least we should expect from a manager of Mourinho's pedigree is coherent movement and a credible goalthreat against the worst teams in the league. He's had enough time and has enough talent available to do MUCH better than he has done, and fully deserves a big chunk of the blame.

But on the other hand, it's clear our squad has problems. We're weak in defensive midfield and at fullback, our confidence is low, and aside from a few players, the technical ability is surprisingly poor at times for a team that claims to be a one of the 'big 6'. The players should be doing better.

Ultimately, though, I think a manager more suited to the project, while they may have not got a huge amount more points than Mourinho, would at least have far more positive signs and green shoots of hope for the future. If anything, at the moment, we're getting worse week by week.

We need to back Mourinho this summer and support him, but personally I think the writing is on the wall and he's done at this level, except at clubs that can buy him the league.

Lo Celso did play as a false 9 or behind the striker in a team with a well-defined pattern of of play.

Isn't it the managers job to put his players in the best position to succeed? If we don't have a well-defined pattern of play than who's fault is that?

We all know why Poch in the end had given up and essentially gone rouge. He had worked his magic on a whole heap of class B and C players enough in the end.

The damning part of watching us under José is that there's literally nothing, anywhere. It's like the entire club and squad has gone bland. We offer absolutely nada going forward, so we can't even begin to determine where change or upgrades are needed - we're at the stage of people just concluding that we need to bin the entire squad off, whilst under managers like Poch and Klopp, it only took a few months to see exactly which positions were in need of upgrades, but only because they actually started playing football with clear intentions derived from the managers style of play. Poch and Klopp started implementing their ideas and structures and it was clear for even the layman in the sofa to see where upgrades were needed. Same with Guardiola when he came in and everybody could see their fullbacks were dog shit for his system. Said and done, 4 new fullbacks.

We're not even close to present anything resembling football. We're like a footballing black hole - that game could have gone on for another 6 hours yesterday and we still wouldn't have been close to getting a shot on goal, and this in the end lands on the manager, especially now that he's been more than a few months in charge.

Quite clearly this is key - failure to back Jose adequately and you can get prepared for a long and sour goodbye but then i'd say any prospective manager requires the necessary backing to address glaring issues all over the pitch.

Does Jose have the stomach for a rebuild? That's the pertinent question as well because I think it's fair to say he was a sold a dream that's quickly turned into a nightmare.

So according to today's press conference. We have fantastic forwards and could not find any better in the current market...?

Email said protest outside Tottenham hotspur stadium between 10-4. Email is genuine but maybe its not happening
Apparently Chick King has a limited menu. I can only assume that is what the protest is about.

They're still good, despite the lack of a second striker which is never happening, but they're being coached very poorly.
