Hopefully he can build on his half a game of football and prove that the creaming of pants and £60mill spent on him were all worth it, otherwise it's a lot of wasted fluid and cash over one man ...

It's more than half a game of football. He's been one of our only bright lights of what has been a fucking terrible season. Considering his injury problems and the fact it's his first season in this league playing in an atrocious team with a host of underperforming and in some cases poor players, there is a lot to be excited about. He's done well.

I can't hide how happy it makes me to see Spurs have a genuinely talented player in CM, and not have to watch bang average players like Dier and Winks continually get games for us, seeing other fans constantly trying to convince themselves and others they just "do things" and "keep the play ticking over".

You get excited, you don't get excited about much.

When he starts to genuinely run things, with help, then I'll be happy. YouTube highlight in 45 minutes of football when you've contributed very little (injuries aside) in half a season of football doesn't excite me. Work in progress.

The question for me with Tanguy is where does he play he is not a defensive midfielder or a number ten. He doesn’t, look to have the range of passing to dominate games. There are plus points but I think there are a lot of questions as well none more so than what formation suits him and does he offer enough flexibility tactically

He is 8, didn't you watch for example Bayern to see his range of passing? I think he could easily play CDM like today, in 4231 or 433

I bet he'd be great playing in a 3 man midfield besides another creative player and then with someone like Skipp covering behind. Sure we would like him to be able to dominate in a 2 man midfield but lets give the guy a season before asking him to be peak Dembele.

The fickle nature of our fans is embarrassing! Liverpool signed a 50m midfielder in Keita and he is only now showing the goods, they spent 40m on Fabinho who took over a year before he became a first team player but yeah let’s say that Lo Celso and Ndombele aren’t great based on about 100 mins of football!

Players take time to get used to this league, the intensity, the pace, the fact that every team is a good honest hard working side, there is no easy game. Also add to the fact that they are 22 and 23 respectively which is still young and they are in a new country.

I thought Ndombele played really well yesterday and pair him with the right player then I believe we have one of the best around.

He is clearly a very talented player but think he has a mistake in him and will cost us a couple of times. I am ok with that as we need some risk takers, all our other CM’s are far too safe and slow our play down.

FFS every player has a mistake in him. I wouldn't call NDombele a conservative player (they also have mistakes in them), he is an incredible talent and does go to the edge. All great players do that. You want 100% guaranteed perfection? you are in the wrong world

What a player, when you look at the obvious flaws in our team at the moment, I think his performance was excellent.

We are missing a defensive midfielder, goal keeper and full backs, the team is going to struggle to perform against anyone to the level we want.

What impressed me most, he got better as the game went on. Dont think anyone is going to be questioning his fitness today.

What a player we have in our hands, hope we get a DM in Jan and try and build that partnership.

I would guess, he is best suited to doing the same job Yaya Toure did for City. Which would require a competent defensive midfielder next to him. For what it's worth, I feel if we had gone 4231 yesterday with Dier next to him, then I think we would have won the game.

definitely need a quality DM backing Ndombele up also need a RB, I think we still can hang in at LB as Sessegnon pushes Verts to that role and we also have Tanganga. I think even Verts can play LB even with Davies as the LCB

Yeah LB is the lesser worry. Happy to give Sess the rest of the season to make it his own. Think Davies is perfect for the defensive LB role, gutted he got injured.

Sadly I think Jan is looking more like a back up iotion every game.

Nice to see NDombele get through a full match. It will be Interesting to see if he can back up v Southampton. In yesterday's formation he was probably supposed to be our most defence minded midfielder. I don't think this is his go....he is more an 8 than a 6. His best work was dribbling through the middle ...I don't think he has the discipline to do the defensive donkey work....front foot is his preference
