I'm just seeing the same stuff so far under Jose, win lose or draw. So I'm not shocked. If the opportunity, time and space, to counter/transition quickly is there we look good. If it isn't and a half-decent team is organised and shutting us down then we're fucked, because pretty much every other aspect of the game is pure dirt. Possession play and constructing attacks against set defences is non-existent, and without the ball our shape isn't good enough and oppositions repeatedly work the ball into threatening areas with the minimum of effort.
The two goals, one soft, one totally bonkers, are just the cherry on top. Focus on them if you want, but at some point it was simply inevitable we'd go behind with the dominance of all aspects of the play Chelsea had.
It's hard to see a way back into it, it would take a) Chelsea going right off their game and/or sitting back, plus b) us starting to do things we haven't seen yet so far under Mourinho, and basically every single player needs to pull their fingers out and show a lot more, but we live in hope........

Moura repeatedly crowds Kane out. Kane goes to head the ball sees Moura, backs off and then Moura doesn't win the header!

Expect much of the same vs Liverpool and City, this lineup and tactic is suicidal against good teams. That said, even if we played 2-8-0 formation players should step up at home against rivals and play better. Lamela seems to be the only one to step up against rivals and play with real intensity.

I think Jose's trying to be pragmatic here and bypass the midfield because he knows we can't pass through the lines with these players.
On top of that Lampard has sprung a surprise on him with his formation whilst our line-up was entirely predictable.
A tucked in LB, an RB who doesn't really like / is any good at defending and a midfield that can't pass. Frank took the upper hand in the game and it's been truly diabolical from there - no leaders on the pitch sorting anything out.
Let's hope Mourinho can earn some corn at half-time. My biggest concernt though is AGAIN conceding another 2 goals in a game. And it's only HT.

The issue isn’t the front four. The issue is the lack of cohesion between defence and midfield. It’s so much easier to defend against an isolated attack
Time and time again the numerous thick players in our squad cost us massively, and the decent players we have are not performing at all. Tammy Abraham has shown more movement and effort than Kane and Moura put together; Dier is just a waste of space at the moment, any half decent midfielder should be able to turn on the ball and pass forward but every time he gets the ball from the defence it goes back to them.
It looks like the whole team had a few beers for lunch and can’t be fucked to do anything.
