I’m still bemused at why Gazza didn’t use his hands instead of opting for that kungfu kick.

I'd change it to a 343 for second half and match up. Take off Aurier and bring on Ndombele or Winks in the middle, move Sissoko to right wingback. Then I'd take off Lucas for Lo Celso and move Dele into the front 3 with Son and Kane. Dele and Son are making the same runs in the same space, Lucas is in no man's land and there is no defensive shape.
If we match up at the back they don't have midfield runners that will get in behind the back line and we can keep a relatively high line

Course you can.

The fact that our midfield is outnumbered because Dele has to be fucking spoiled and treated like hes messi in the no10 role doesn't help.
They have four against three all the time. We'd need three Kantes to make it work. It's not helping that Alli looks like he'll playing on ice with roller blades on, but the system is more of a problem. than the players.

He’s got to change the central midfield. The pairing he’s got out there are simply incapable of playing through the middle. Everything has to go out wide or over the top. Not going to be sufficient for us to get back in the game.

kane is one of the most overated players we've ever owned, world class my arse, hardly ever notice hes on the pitch
name me the last time kane performed in a big game? 3 years ago he was bullying defenders, he doesn't even contest headers any more just runs infront and trys to back in

Gazzaniga was a shocking signing. We signed Saints 4th keeper who they fucked off on loan to Spains 2nd division to be our #2 keeper. Baffling.
Awful mistake, but up to this point he hasn't been a awful player for us

Not looking good at the moment., Players look confused and Chelsea's control of the midfield and center of the pitch makes a comeback unlikely unless we have a massive change of tactics. Frank may anticipate Jose's change though. (It's a bit of a feeding frenzy in here.)

All mouth and no action once more from these bunch of legends.
when the pressure comes (chance for top 4) they put in a shit performance....
I feel for Jose as he aint going to instill a winning mentality to this football club... one too far IMO.

Somethings still not right. He's not doing what he's a saying in recent years. The hunger is gone. Golden boots and whatnot no longer interest him.
I think that's possibly right. What annoys me he doesn't have the intelligence to do something different. |He just stands there waiting to be clobbered.

Honestly if we had lloris, even with the shambles we are in, we would be in the top 4

We need someone to pull the strings, really don’t understand Jose’s thinking. How can everyone see it but he can’t?

All that interests him footballing wise is England. Which is the opposite of everyone else who plays for England.

I'm just seeing the same stuff so far under Jose, win lose or draw. So I'm not shocked. If the opportunity, time and space, to counter/transition quickly is there we look good. If it isn't and a half-decent team is organised and shutting us down then we're fucked, because pretty much every other aspect of the game is pure dirt. Possession play and constructing attacks against set defences is non-existent, and without the ball our shape isn't good enough and oppositions repeatedly work the ball into threatening areas with the minimum of effort.

The two goals, one soft, one totally bonkers, are just the cherry on top. Focus on them if you want, but at some point it was simply inevitable we'd go behind with the dominance of all aspects of the play Chelsea had.

It's hard to see a way back into it, it would take a) Chelsea going right off their game and/or sitting back, plus b) us starting to do things we haven't seen yet so far under Mourinho, and basically every single player needs to pull their fingers out and show a lot more, but we live in hope........
And now we're just hoofing it aimlessly long. At least with Poch we tried to play.

This is just fucking turgid under Jose.
