Hopefully on here we can be positive about the future whilst not having to downplay what Poch achieved also.

Absolutely agree.

Although I was in the Poch out camp for a while, I will always have the up most respect for Poch and for what he achieved while here.

Just like Jol and Redknapp before him,Poch has played an important role in building the club up to where it is today and in any future success their roles need to be acknowledged and appreciated by us fans.

Seems a slight dig at poch

I’m intrigued to know how you came to the conclusion.
Managers come and go, do you think if anyone of them players had a transfer to a club that was going to pay them 3x what they currently earn, they would mourn at leaving the club, or even Poch?

Life goes on and you can’t afford to mope around, especially when you think of the position (PL) we’re in

That was note perfect

The way he handled the Poch stuff was so respectful. He genuinely seemed to have a different approach and realise where he's gone wrong. Fucking exciting, the players must be buzzing.

OCD sound technician observation here, was anyone really put off by the the mic feeding back during that press conference? Really irritated me! We obviously had to turn the mic up due to the increased attendance ?

I've not seen this Mourinho before. He has grown soft with age. Well, softer. No bad thing as he clearly has a physical revulsion to losing but tempered with a less hysterical/moody reaction and he could have found a happy medium.

I don’t expect it to last long (not like that’s a particularly bad thing) he was a bit like this when he went to Chelsea for the second time

He actually said if we win the league, it won’t be because of him, it will be because of the club’s vision.

Come on, what have they done with the real Jose Mourinho, where is he!?!? ?

He’s always been great at introducing himself and setting the tone at press conferences. The first red flag at United was his weirdly defensive opening press conference.

I can see him and Kane getting on really well. Both are perfectionists and both have the same mentality.

I'll be honest I wasn't particularly thrilled to hear that Kane (allegedly :shifty:) was one of those who was letting Levy know his displeasure and was clearly not happy with his performances reflecting that and I expected better from Kane given all we hear of his professionalism but maybe if I look at it in another light, Kane showed some ruthlessness in terms of doing what needed to be done to get to the top with Spurs which is a really important trait to have if you want to succeed. I hope he can translate that ruthlessness back onto the pitch and to your point; Jose shares a similar type of ruthlessness. Really goes to show that football isn't always black and white as we pretend it is.

Pretty impressed with the first presser, full of praise for Poch which was nice.
I honestly cant wait to see how we play under him, Saturday might be a bit soon to see it, but really looking forward to the rest of the season now...which I couldn't say a week ago.

It got to the point where I was actually pleased for the last international break, as I wouldn't have to watch yet another half arsed Spurs performance, which I cant remember happening for a fucking long time.
It's pretty sad that Poch had to leave in such circumstances.

For contrast, he seems moody and irritated in this and this probably set the tone for his United tenure

I may be completely mistaken here, but is the geezer on the left the old fitness coach whom was replaced by Poch’s son?

Haven’t seen him around the club or match day squad for ages

Yeh he was burnt out by that point. He needed a break. I think we will see him try to play in a different way too. It may work it may not. First thing though is to set up a solid compact defensive structure. Something that Poch should have done as soon as the bad run started. Right now we are sloppy and open. A back to basics approach will do us a world of good.
