A much more clear decision that was at 0-0 and didn't have any effect on the pendulum.

When we scored their fans went completely silent, they knew they'd lost and we thought it put is in complete control.

As soon as the fans roared when the decision was made I knew itd give them the momentum and belief. Yes, our players have to stand up but it does put you at a disadvantage.

I'm sure if that had happened at WHL we would have been fine. But the energy from their fans changed everything plus Wanyama
Yes but momentum swings as part of the game anyway. Regardless of whether the outside was given via VAR or not the goal would still have been ruled out. The margins are irrelevant if we're talking momentum or team lift. Our mentality not to push on was the issue and has been an issue considering the last few games...i.e 2-0 up v gooners and olympiakos as examples where we've thrown it away.. albeit to draw not lose.

VAR isn't why we lost this game
But for me it absolutely is. While not excusing the mental fragility shown by our players from the decision onwards if had been given the fans would have quietened down considerably and their team would naturally have been deflated. So for me, it is the main reason.

The analysis on BT Sport quite rightly highlighted that Aurier was the problem in defense - he'd leave huge gaps so everyone would have to come across. He left our defence in the poop a couple of times - one of which lead to Ricardo's goal.

Think his head went after his goal was disallowed.

Aurier is an abominable defender. David Kerslake standard.

People can say we have had our luck with VAR but all those decisions were factually correct, this wasnt anywhere close to that.

Lol? Without VAR the goal would’ve stood because, you know, the referee and linesman had given it initially?

You said ‘we should’ve pushed on regardless’ completely ignoring the fact that, from a psychological POV, Leicester players and fans have gone from thinking they’re 2-0 down and the game is dead and buried, to essentially being back in the game with all the momentum their way.

No, we should not have lost even after that decision. But to simply dismiss it as if it had no bearing on momentum shifting, is nonsensical.
At 2-0 the game is never dead and buried. Secondly let's assume Leicester and fans were boosted...(I didn't ignore that fact, I just didn't think it was relevant to the conversation), then our mentality adjusts accordingly. Starting with Poch and our captain acting to boost our own players once our goal was chalked off.

Are you talking about Trix comment in other thread today or something else?

For those that missed it, Trix said (opinion) that Poch will be gone by Christmas.
Realise that’s merely you passing on the opinion but if that’s the intention why did Poch even start the season. Like another manager would be able to work with someone like Levy.

Oh well, at least we know that in times of adversity Spurs fans can be relied upon to all pull together as one behind Manager, players and Club :cautious:

Was Wanyama really that bad when he came on? Personally felt last 15 minutes it was Ndombele and Rose whose tired legs get losing us possession in bad areas.
Not sure what the fuck happened to Rose...I thought he'd had a good game up until the 85th minute, then started playing for Leicester after Maddison got injured.

I think his legs and lungs also went around that time.
