You assuming that is Poch's stance. Yes it's been reported that many ITK, Hoddle, Graham Robert's all said there was money available... Can you not see who they are connected too (get their info from) ? The club.

If your reasoning is correct then we have nothing to fear as Poch won't walk because he was intransigent/ inflexible to other options.

It's totally stupid to ONLY have one option from the outset.

Well he's spoke about it himself in the past saying he'd rather keep the squad together if he can't improve. I disagree on the nothing to fear because he will go to a club who can deliver the players he asks for if we don't. That's why Levy has no choice but to land Lo Celso.

Do you honestly believe our supporters believe that we have the resources of the clubs you mentioned there? It doesn't take 2+ months to agree a fee. So if we don't want to pay the extortionate fee then move the fuck on to the next target.

He's not a 88 million or 65 million pound player. We all know that. What's the point of haggling over a fee if you miles apart on valuations.

when Man C 1st wanted Mahrez they refused to pay the inflated price, when Maguire become a possibility Man C refused to go over 60m so feel out the race. yes they have spent plenty of 50-60m players compared to most, and if the reports are true broken a lot of rules doing it.

we might not have a plan B, because the plan B's out there might not be good enough.

Camarasa and Firpo close to leaving, bringing in a decent chunk of cash to Betis (albeit Camarasa an initial loan). Levy may not have as much leverage after all.

Tbf I’m a taxi driver and when I was wanking whilst on the road yesterday the passenger asked if I was a spurs fan cos of my ‘we 8 ARSEnal’ sticker on my cab. He said he was the PSG owner’s fourth cousin thrice removed and that Lo Celso was shit.

*Only* €17m for Firpo & €1.5m loan fee for Camarasa, so not that much tbh

similar?

apart from last season when we signed no one, most of our deals are usually around deadline day. just asking cause none of know the exact amount we have to spend, but what if Lyon had stuck to their original amount and it meant we could of only gone with our total other amount. we signed the improved deal with AIA after signing TN. we had record profits, we made the CL final, but we also lost a lot of income with the stadium delays, and last season ITK was saying with player sales we where only looking at around 35m net.

we have still only sold 1 player this season and if Fulham want more for Sess with players included, and Betis want more, even with instalments, and now we also have to consider Fernandez into the equation in case Eriksen might go, and if he goes late we might have to accept a lot less.

the way so many of you whinge you would think we have an open cheque book

My heart bleeds for Levy.

I think it'll be enough to bring them within their usual spending levels. Just depends on if they can afford both Fekir and Lo Celso's wages.

I hope Levy gets the job done but I have a bad feeling about this window now.

There has to be Lighty... What we went after was players we had to Google to lend a term from Rose. We tried for De Jong last season. Surely Ndombele was the next option. I agree that we must not drop to a level like an option C/D player.

Aargh anyway this window is finally drawing to its close. We can get back to squabbling about player X etc.

This already strikes me as a matter of pride for the Betis board of not being forced to make an attractive deal to Levy. All Sevilla newspapers always talk about his reputation as a "tough negotiator". It seems they want to prove that they can be as hard as him. It so annoying.

Did Leicester agree a price and move the goal posts? or did you all believe what newspapers/media houses reported as the price. What you had was a offer which was rejected they haggled on pricing. Leicester never budged on their price and united relented and paid the price Leicester wanted.
And that is negotiation, Manchester United were prepared to pay more at the end of the window than they were at the start emotion and perception changed but more than that Mcguire originally wasn't for sale whereas Lo Celso has always been for sale.

The victim stance doesn’t look good on you. Go to any other PL club’s fan forum and they have rumours about players the same as we do. You’re just not witness to it because you don’t care about it (I assume?)

The “woe is me, why can’t we do what other clubs do” is a load of bollocks pal.

Another thing we don't know is how the exchanges are going, we hear that we offered X amount and it was rejected but what we don't hear is how they rejected it. Did they say fuck off wasting my time or did they say no we can't accept that we really want more, they both mean no but there is a world of difference if not on that offer then on the possibility for the next offer and I'd assume the club is reading these signs.

To be fair it happens almost in every club but our history suggest us why we feel different. Either we don't sign someone or if we do rarely quality players. Usually it is substandard.

I'm not playing victim I'm calling out BS when I see it. I'm also pointing out that you and others on here claim that we have difficulty getting deals done... That clubs move the goal posts.. But other teams get the business done. Take that how you wish. It smacks of an excuses mentality... PAL.

We’ve all been here before.

Coming towards the end of the window, most of us frustrated by the lack of activity (Ndombele excepted on this occasion) whilst some still hold it together it expecting something to happen by deadline day.

And yet when deadline day’s insanity happens, even those of us resigned to expecting no transfers are secretly hoping a late breaking story for us and an exceptional player will appear on the SSN ticker.

And yet it turns 11pm and we still refresh the BBC Sport transfer page hoping for us to be the “one more signing registered with the Premier League but as yet we don’t know which club...”.

So we wake the following morning and there are no stories about Spurs and even those hopeful fans optimism turns to dust. Anger, retribution, the inevitable #LevyOut and #BackPoch trends follow.

If you have no expectations, you can’t be disappointed...
