As for those going on about Dembele's lack of speed at moving the ball forward and saying how Winks should start ahead of him. Don't get me wrong, I love Winks and think we have a right gem there and was excited to see him start today, but when Dembele came on you saw the difference he brings in the middle of the park, he is an unbelievable CM that the opposition absolutely hate playing against and a shout out to Dier who looked so much more comfortable sat in front of the back 4.

We are lucky to have Dembele and lots on here know this and respect his talent, but some, oh lord, hang your heads in shame. I would have him over Pogba any day.

Not surprising, mate. Once you see oxygen being given, hosp. is usually on the cards.

Still sucks cock though. He's gonna be gutted and we'll miss him.

My buddy said that when the physio went over to tell Poch and one of the other coaches what it was, they both punched the chair. He really fucked his ankle, be lucky to play again this season if thats the reaction.

In defence of Sissko, he replaced Winks - which might have worked - but was immediately moved to the Lamela role in the old formation, where we can't expect him to be anything other than rubbish.

He would have been equally as rubbish in the Winks role considering he can't do the basics of control and pass the ball

Sounds like a break if they reacted like that.

Holy fuck Zaha is more boring than Livermore in interviews!

EDIT: Actually just seems a bit nervous, I take that back

Its so awful for the lad, gets the start and then a challenge that doesn't really seem so bad ends up like that. But i'm sure he will come back stronger, he is one of those guys you know will do everything right to be 100% and we have to remember he isn't a key player just yet, an injury to someone like Dembele or Alli would be much worse.

Just shows how much respect he has won on here with his performances this year, fair play to him.

As soon as Janssen came off we started to look like a threat. He wasn't awful today, and its not specifically that he is not good enough, it's more that he just doesn't fit in the team. Son and Harry are players that interact with other players constantly, Janssen seems completely lost trying to play that role.
When Janssen came off we looked a threat because Burnley had conceded so were not defending as compact but rather chasing the ball. Son, is particularly great at stretching tired defenses, and fresh pair of legs really hurt burnley.

I hate this kind of stuff. Vinny did some excellent things today and fits it fine. We were one nil up with him on the pitch and looking good. Son come on when we were one nil up, confident, against Burnley who looked to be tiring, it worked out perfectly with his fresh legs. Don't really get where you're coming from saying he looks completely lost, i'm a little baffled by the lack of praise or recognition he gets on here. I think he is a good back up to Kane who will only get better next year.

Based on what? I don't think he is nearly as bad as he is made out to be on here sometimes, but anybody arguing that he is a good back up to Kane is wishfully speculating, because his performances have been mostly quite shit. I think he has lots of potential but based on his performances for us so far, there is no WAY we should be starting next season with him as Kane's only backup.

There is a video of it on twitter. Can't find it on my feed but saw it during half time.

Geoff (the physio) pointed at the his knee and scaled down to his ankle to give an idea of the severity of the injury to Winks, he then did a " pulled" muscle motion. To which Poch and Toni smacked the top of their knees in disappointment.

Son is kane's main back up. Currently I think the three of them are actually perfectly reasonable back up. I genuinely do not see Striker position as a priority. If the right player comes along fine, if not no biggy. The biggest issue is another CB, and probably another AM to take Sissoko's place, and cover for Dele when we miss him were we to reach the champions League.

Dislocated maybe?
