Especially with them playing Man City in Wednesday. What I wouldn't give for them to get back to back loses as we get back to back wins. Can we dream?
still tough ask but If they slip against City and we take another 2/3 points off then it makes it exciting. How I would loved Lamela just back right now

Sissoko made the difference today.
:troll:

Lol! To be fair, he played ok. His first touch was poor to begin with but he grew in to the game and offered pace and penetration down the right, and was a nuisance when they had the ball.

Moussa Sissoko was atrocious when he came on. Offered next to nothing. Excellent result, however... Very pleased with that. Love Tottenham Hotspur so much, this season (bar CL) has been excellent. COYS!!!!!!!

As soon as Janssen came off we started to look like a threat. He wasn't awful today, and its not specifically that he is not good enough, it's more that he just doesn't fit in the team. Son and Harry are players that interact with other players constantly, Janssen seems completely lost trying to play that role.

Had a quick look and I think we're the first team to beat Burnley by two goals at Turf Moor since December 2015.

2-0 away at Burnley is a great result and statement made, especially with Kane, Walker and Rose not involved and Wanyama and Winks going off injured before half time.

Yup. We see post after post about how our transfer business this past summer was inadequate and our squad depth is weak, but we've had a season-long fucking nightmare with injuries, today we've lost our whole midfield before half time and we've still won, if not comfortably, then at least decisively and with a clean sheet.

Some people are still grumbling about Sissoko, but the team without Sissoko couldn't deal with Burnley before half time and the team with Sissoko progressively crushed them from the start of the second half and was in total control for the last 20 minutes.

It's not just about what you do in high-profile moments with the ball, it's about the shape and the movement and the overall pattern of the game. Prior to half time Burnley were winning nearly every 50/50 ball and keeping possession comfortably. After half time, we won the ball off them with ease and dictated the tempo and pattern of the play. You can only do that if 11 men are doing their parts.

In defence of Sissko, he replaced Winks - which might have worked - but was immediately moved to the Lamela role in the old formation, where we can't expect him to be anything other than rubbish.

I hate this kind of stuff. Vinny did some excellent things today and fits it fine. We were one nil up with him on the pitch and looking good. Son come on when we were one nil up, confident, against Burnley who looked to be tiring, it worked out perfectly with his fresh legs. Don't really get where you're coming from saying he looks completely lost, i'm a little baffled by the lack of praise or recognition he gets on here. I think he is a good back up to Kane who will only get better next year.

Great win today - so chuffed to hear that Cheating Chelsea couldn't capitalise on their bonus 10 minutes. There should be some sort of investigation in all seriousness. How did they have 10 minutes?

just looked at the BBC match report and Poch has said that Winks has been taken to hospital :(
Not surprising, mate. Once you see oxygen being given, hosp. is usually on the cards.

Still sucks cock though. He's gonna be gutted and we'll miss him.
