So really you need another Deadline Day special like Rafa all over again - none of us forget that night!

That night and clucking like a recovering heroine addict until midday the next day, waiting to see if we got it over the line in time....

I would have hoped Oduwa got a better loan deal than League Two Luton Town but the important thing is that he plays reguarly and gets good experience.

At the moment he's behind players like Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo who is 15 months younger and has gone on loan to Championship club Wigan Athletic today.

cmon the Jay Rod(y)

Disagree on that. We need pace and the ability to take on compacted boxes on the dribble, something J Rod has never had to do. He excels at running in behind into space, which is something Saints are afforded much more of than we are. J Rod would be very similar to Chadli, and hence make us all the more predictable and easy to prepare for. We need someone entirely different from our current options and Chadli in particular, someone who looks at a stacked box and sees nothing but ankles for the snapping, rather than as a sandbagged wall as our wingers too often unfortunately see them.

That's a decent loan for Oduwa. They're pushing for automatic promotion so positive environment plus he'll be playing in front of 10k passionate fans weekly. Hope he does well.

Not enough. Of that list, only two have multiple goals in the league, and that crew is desperately lacking in pace (no coincidence we're very poor at stretching sides out, pulling defenders, and making anyone backpedal).

Leading scoring midfielder in the league, one of the top scoring strikers in the league, still sixth. Beyond unreasonable to me that people are content with our AM corps in terms of quantity, quality, or diversity. It makes no mathematical or tangible sense.

If Lennon goes, we should absolutely go for a winger addition.

Yet we found out by Pardew a week later and remain in sixth. Are you content with this?

As is, Chelsea came at us so afforded us tremendous space. There was no need to pry open spaces. Brom we scored one goal from open play on the back of a moment of individual brilliance rather than attacking a stacked box. That Palace game though, we failed to pry open a team wiling to sit back despite Kane again offering a moment of individual brilliance.

It is not enough. We are still too slow, too ponderous, and too timid entirely too often.

The amount of ratings this has is very harsh
As always when it comes to him, it's the man people are playing not the ball. Likewise the post that elicited the response. there are many just the same or worse in this thread which don't even elicit the slightest reaction.
