Ramsey had a compound fracture which asfaik means his bone splintered which meant he had to go through a long procss of ensuring the bones we re-positioned in the correct place and by the very nature of the type of injury it was always going to be a long lay off. If it's a clean break then it's usually pretty straight forward.

Looks that way. I can also see Holtby being used to partner Paulinho/Sandro/Dembele in the CM. Might also mean siggy stays to challenge for that AM position with Eriksen.

Nowhere near as bad/complicated as Ramsey's, from what I could see. Do an image search for that one - horrific. If the ankle breaks inwardly ie gets rolled (which Capoue's did) then that's loads better than if it breaks in a more unusual way.

So gutted with this. But sandro is back and dembele is also adept at playing that role. paulinho/sandro/dembele/holtby all capable in any combination really.

But capoue was looking so bloody good.

It's a difficult one because we need to find out by tomorrow if we need a new DM. Anything longer than 3 months and I think we should go for a young backup. It's gonna be too risky with Sandro just coming back and Dembele's injury record.
