Come, come Misfit.

THE BEAST SHALL REIGN...

(Best spin I can put on it anyway!)

Long may he reign, but when you come back from a long spell out it is quite common to pick up niggles easily in the beginning.

That injury is exactly why we HAVE TO buy another striker if Ade leaves. And I mean a proper CF not these "can play up there if needed" types.

They must suspect a break somewhere. Hopefully there isn't one and it is just a bad sprain.
Hopefully. I'll go with a broken twig though. Some of us will have done both ourselves and that reaction screamed extra corners to me.

Ah well, he can begin his rehab in a few week and this will give him the rest of the season to regain fitness and acclimatise himself to the club and city properly I guess. Maybe we even see him play before the end of this season. That would be a Brucey bonus.

It is a bit worrying though, as Sandro has just come back from injury and he tends to get injured.

You know even if he is injured for a couple of weeks we still have atm;Siggy, Eriksen, Sandro, Paulinho, Holtby, Dembele, Sandro, Carroll and etc.

Also we have a 2 week break now because of internationals

Sandro is twice the player anyone else is.

Oh yeah - Sandro, Paul, Moose are fine as the single or double DM choices. Holtby and Eriksen and even Carroll for some games give us plenty of options. Maybe even Sigs as cover if he doesn't leave.

He had a splint on around his ankle when he was stretchered off. They are applied generally when they are suspecting an underlying fracture or severe ligamentous injury...
Judging by the fall & the degree of eversion of his ankle at impact, I reckon he's probably sustained an ankle fracture or at the very least a high grade sprain.
If there is a fracture, the 'level' of the fracture at the ankle joint will determine the management options...ranging from a simple cast for 6weeks to an ORIF (surgery)! Those requiring ORIFs are generally associated with ligament disruption and subsequent instability of the ankle joint & obviously will take substantially longer to rehabilitate...

We can just move Paulinho back into the double pivots rotation and it'll make the path a bit clearer for Holtby and Eriksen
