Swindon fans seem to be convinced they are getting Sherwood, though all seem desperate for Hoddle instead.

Levy has some previous of letting his proteges fly the nest when they hit a ceiling inside the club - Barber's cordial move to Canada for example.

Can't say I'd be too disappointed to see Sherwood go. As previously stated by others, something about him holding power in our club makes me feel uncomfortable.

Interestingly UD Almeria, have replaced Iago Falque with Suso on loan. Almeria sources said earlier getting Falque back would be impossible. Personallly I though we should of sent Cebellos there and comparing the two players cebellos did perform better in the U21's

Fancy splitting the petrol with me - and we'll drive him there? :) Get some ITK from him to boot to lol

Are people not a bit concerned about a possible frontline of Chadli-Benteke-Bale? Their average height is about 6'3" and all of them are incredibly direct.

I'm just worried we'd be very one dimensional, and have nothing to counter teams who just defend deep.

For me Benteke instead of Villa means our LF absolutely has to be a Mata/Carzola style lockpicker like Bernard, which Chadli isn't.

I guess we'd swap Chadli for Siggy and one of the big middle 3 for Carroll/Holtby?

I would have thought if he was going to go into management he would take the Blackburn job.

Agree. The reported tension between him and AVB can't be healthy. I think AVB and Baldini should be freed to implement their vision.

There is definitely something a little bit sinister about Sherwood, and its not just his Arsenal tattoo.

The blitzkrieg was one dimensional, but also very effective.
We will simply go out and demolish teams. Remember these players are also technically good and will also be able to keep the ball.

I would expect it to be a two horse race between sherwood and ferdy for the swindon post.

that being said I do not expect sherwood to leave. Why leave all the power at a premier league club to go to a league one side and work for your mate? (The swindon chairman)

That's what I think to. Still have plenty of options. Although perhaps we'll sign a younger player who has the potential attributes of a Mata type.

Just can't see us spending 40 million plus on Benteke and Bernard.

Blackburn is an absolute poison chalice at this point in time. Swindon is a much healthier club, and his best mate Lee Power is now one of their directors

He supposedly came second for the Brighton job.

For career development - to strike out on his own, make a name for himself. AVB dissed him a while ago saying he couldn't be a candidate for promotion to DoF without a black book/transfer clout.

Other than moving up to John McDermott's job, is their anywhere to progress within the club, without improving his crendentials elsewhere?

Like Teddy as much as the next person, But looks like he's been spending more time in the bars rather than doing his coaching badges ect
He was on h and j a while back. Said if he got back involved in football he want to be a manager not a coach

I forgot to add the main point of this post, which means atm we want him to stay(unless we have a move to top6/7 la liga lined up

So for next season we have currently for the wings of a 433 we have
Bale - Right Wing Forward/complete player

Lennon - traditional winger
Townsend - similar lennon but likes to beat his player more and is more expansive (harry always wanted him to be his RWF)

Dempsey - Left wing forward who cuts inside and is a goal threat, (operate inside a lot) does fuck all except act as a inside threat
Siggy - Same as dempsey but naturally a CAM who looked like we brought to mould in to a lampard but Paulinho signing makes me think perhaps not

Falque - Creative wide man

The Goat says we are interested in a wing forward. Now if we move siggy to CM, then we are left with 5 wide options and The Goat has said Townsend is likely to leave on loan.

Now that leaves us with 4 options and imo, Falque wont want to sit on the bench imo because that is the issue that caused him not to be a regular in a top 5 spanish club atm had he went back to spain after Juve. The fact siggy will likely be rotated on the wing and CM will probably mean he wont get the minutes he wants.

That said the idea of signing a wing forward would suggest there isn't much room for Dempsey.

IMO Falque after Bale is the only one who has to be kept as none of the others are very creative on the wings and the others have players that cant do a similar role, unless of course we sign a creative winger but Bernard seems to be off to Porto.

I really hope I never see Holtby on the wings, theres no excuse when you have this many wide players(i don't want siggy either but I wont hold my breath)

But sherwood is above avb and mcdermott buddy. It sounds bizarre but he is the same level as baldini.

I will explain the diff in sherwoods and baldinis roles another day.
