AVB said we weren't interested in Jackson Martinez, but said Bernard is a player we are monitoring. He added that he didn't think anything would happen re Bernard (possibly hinting that the current asking price is a bit more than we're prepared to pay).

While that might be true I wouldn't put too much faith in those words to be honest. I have a really hard time imagining a scenario where we wouldn't go for Martinez if we thought a deal was possible since he's a tremendous player and just the kind of striker we should go for. But then, the rumoured price of 30 million pounds is also way too high for us so I guess that's that..

Could we scrap the bad theory, the goat response to 'could it happen' is i don't know. Nothing related to bad.

amigos are Spanish not Brazilians, so scrap Brazilians from the equation.

Also, having already sold moutinho and James, i cant really see them also sell jackson unless it is for a huge overprice.
