Chunky on COYS (re Levy's trip to Ukraine):

He's been and he's back.

Been told it was a wasted trip. But the owner of Shaktar [sic] has the most ridiculous palace!

Well that goes against Akqa's Fernandinho tweet.

JJ said as much that targets were changed this morning... all this plan D stuff... probably moved onto Dsagoev. but russians are very risky signings as we all know too well..

personally bung it all on moutinho and if chance comes up to get striker then do it and maybe get loan winger type signing to increase competition like afellay.

I'm struggling to understand why Levy would go out to the Ukraine if we were so far apart in terms of valuation...and we had no intention of meeting those prices.

Perhaps Levy thought he could slip him a few drinks and seduce him. Obviously the big lad didn't want to play ball...

Does seem a bit odd. Maybe he was there to celebrate Ukraine's national holiday, which just passed.

Maybe he's taken Bentley out to some remote Ukrainian forest and told him to run free.

Much like a Zokora shot, we are hitting Zed territory ;)

I think if its for a wide player, it would be the loan of Affelay

Bollox. Guess we'll have to settle for Isco, Afellay, Dzagoev and Llorente instead... FFS

Good old Berbatov is at it again - I wonder if he got a better offer
(Excuse good old Google Translate)

LA FIORENTINA BERBATOV AND BOUNDARIES OF LOYALTY '

ACF Fiorentina announces that the acquisition of the player Dimitar Berbatov finally jumped after it had reached an agreement with Manchester United (exchange of contract shared the first installment of the consideration paid and surety for the second installment already signed) and after it had reached a verbal understanding with the player on his contract. During today, the English club had granted its affiliated written permission to travel to Florence for medical and sign the contract. The player had embarked, accompanied by his attorney and paid tickets from Fiorentina on a flight to Florence. But in Florence, the player never arrived. Because of reckless and arrogant actions of other companies, which have nothing to do with the values of honesty, fair play and ethics of sport and that lie beyond the boundaries of loyalty. As for the player, in addition to its characteristics and its technical merit, at this point we are happy that did not come to Fiorentina did not deserve our city and our shirt and the values it represents.
