I'm trying very, very hard not to feel the same way.
I'd wait until after the transfer window until I arrive at any conclusions, but if we don't get a striker in, it raises huge questions about Harry's ability to identify massive problems with our strikeforce.
It would also ask questions about Levy's ability to realise that sometimes you have to pay over the odds in the short term in order to possibly do much better in the future (and thus make far more money), rather than massively limit the club's ability to capitalise on this rare window in the spotlight.
I was happy we got VDV, but still unimpressed at our inability to sign a striker. If we manage to go through both the summer tranfer window of 2010 and the January window of 2011 without bringing a new striker in (considering we've made £20m + from the champions league alone) it is nothing short of pathetic.
THIS. money makes money.
Summer is going to be unbearable with all the big clubs and City circling arounds us for Bale and Luka, unfortunately those clubs will actually stump up the cash needed to sign them and off they'll go.
