I don't mean this season but if he still hasn't signed by next summer we'll be left with little choice. I'm really hoping he puts pen to paper as he's irreplaceable imo.

Even then he will have two years left. Think he'll sign a new one anyway.

We offer him £100k a week. Yes he could make £150k at city but if we are not prepared to sell he will have to run his contract down.
Is he willing to bet that someone will offer him the same wages at 31? How much would he miss out in those 3 years £50k a week? So he'd have to get a signing on fee to make up for that loss.

West Ham's take on the Sanchez signing. Staggeringly some think it is an opportunity for them to buy Dier.

--------------------------------------------------

Eric dier won't get a look in at spurs now Sanchez signed,World Cup year needs to play.cost maybe £5-10m more than Carvalho. If you don't try you'll never know.Who'd have thought matic would go to united

You think Levy would actually let us pay market value for Eric Dier? After we told him the cost for Kouyate was Harry Kane?

Why would signing a CB mean a DM wouldn't get a look in?

Dier is behind wanyama and now 4th choice CB.suppose he will get some game time with rotation but doesn't get in 343 set up now and I'd say his only realistic top 6 move now would be Liverpool.very unlikely agreed, but if we were prepared to pay I'd say there would be a chance in World Cup year.
I just spat my coffee out!!!! ED going to the spammers lololololololol

Imagine the face on Dier if Poch called him in to the office to inform him we've accepted a bid for him from West Ham!!

I think he'd rather retire than move there!

What our opponents are saying: "Blurgh, blah, blurgh... Spurds rR shite at Wermblyart - there gunna be turd an' finnish sixsth - har har harf!!@"

What our opponents are thinking: "Jesus Christ, if they beat Chelsea tomorrow, they're gonna win the league - FFS, they'll win the fucking league. Kane's the best striker in Europe, their midfield is delicious, Ali's awesome - I just hate him because he's so fucking good - 5 million he cost! 5 MILLION!! And the defence - the best defence in the league the last two years just signed one of the highest rated prospects in Europe! They sold a right back - but he wasn't even their first choice. The manager just said he's going to sign 3 more players! 3 more players to the, and it pains me to say this, the best team over the last two years! 3 more players!!! This is terrifying!"

Probably the most delusional post I've ever seen from RAWK:

"Not being a tin-foil hat wearer at all.

English football in general, and the football media are absolutely terrified of a Liverpool resurgence. They really don't want it, and they didn't like it when we swept all before us. If they can undermine us and unsettle our progress then they will do so whenever they can. They don't do this with the likes of United or the London clubs because they are media darlings.

We have always been the outsider they resent. A resurgent, winning Liverpool is their nightmare scenario, so they will always rock our boat as much as they can. Helping to unsettle our best players is just one tactic they use to do this. There will always be exceptions out there, but generally speaking, the English footballing world and its media hate and fear us climbing back on our perch. They want their media darlings up there."

(I had to add the paragraphs. This was originally just one massive chunk of text. This is only about I third of the whole post as well, the rest is just too tedious to read... It just goes on and on and on.)

That's beautiful...

... Someone should let him know that it was Barcelona that just bid 115 million for Coutinho - not the fucking Daily Mirror.

Can't disagree though. Even hansen and lawromustachface agree that we can't have a resurgent liverpool team.
It might give inspiration to their fans and they might realise there is more to life than bricks, hub caps and sniffing glue.
In one fell swoop you will destroy the shellsuit industry in this country and put thousands of poor dwp workers out of jobs.

I love how he's making them out to be victims with Barca wanting to buy coutinho, yet they continually tap up players each season. Has he forgotten the youth ban they have?

Also, they ARE one of the media darlings, the media are actually desperate of a Liverpool title win, so I have no idea what this hub-cap collector is going on about.

I keep hearing that Spurs won't do as well this year as the league is more competitive.......I'd argue that if it were more competitive last year, and the better teams hadn't just rolled over, then we could have won the bloody thing!

It's becoming the annual tradition.

It was either us over performing or everyone else underperforming. It's all going to change this year though!

Yeah... I should have waited... I just saw this one from RAWK...

"
So, Man City, United and Spurs concede no goals. Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea concede three each. That’s the first three places in the league confirmed then.

Which leads me to a conclusion – there’s a basic flaw in football. Primarily, football is a form of entertainment. Goals are the pinnacle of that entertainment, and yet the teams that generally top the league are those that are best at denying the opposition from scoring, thereby diminishing the entertainment. Obviously they have to score themselves, but you only have to look at my Liverpool on a fairly regular basis to see that that’s not enough to win.

So I have a new, radical way of rewarding teams – goals per match, plus goals scored. After the first week the table looks like this:

Arsenal 11 (7+4)
Leicester 10 (7+3)
Liverpool 9 (6+3)
Watford 9 (6+3)
Man Utd 8 (4+4)
Burnley 8 (5+3)
Chelsea 7 (5+2) etc"

Liverpool fans love an alternative table but it still doesn't make them top

Jesus Christ, so if a team lost 12 nil on the opening day they'd be 2nd?
What a twat.
