I have this horrible feeling they are going to spank us. We do not have a great record against them in recent times as previously mentioned and they are one of the only sides who can dictate a game against us when on song.

Draw a line through that Burnley result last week, I think they are a team that thrive on these bigger away days as shown against Arsenal and at times last season too.

I just fear if they get their noses in front they are the type of team who will pick us off as we try to grab an equaliser and it could end up being something like a 0-3.

And no I'm not Lawro!

Just realised we will go top if we win on Saturday (y)

But the so would Liverpool if they beet us 5-0 :(

The former is more likely I hope!

Mane's pace will pose huge threat, Sturridge will play central imo. Tough game, hope we can nick it 2-1.

Dear Premier League,
I am done with this whole early game bullshit. No more 1230 british time games. No more. I am so done with waking up at 730 am eastern for games on Saturday mornings. Totally uncalled for. Let me solve this for you. 3pm, 530 pm and 730 pm games on Saturdays. Imagine that! Prime time games. Revolutionary.
Sincerely,

Liverpool seem to turn up against us, they see beating us as some kind of statement yet we will better their league position as we have in all but 1 season in the past 6 or 7.
They seem to match up well against us as they seem to have the typical type of players which cause us trouble, pace and with a footballing brain albeit inconsistent ones. We will need to be very good on the day and im not entirely sure we have or can hit that level JUST yet.
I predict a 1-1 but a win would be massive for us to start the season very strongly despite not being anywhere near peak imo.

Try being a wrestling/UFC fan and staying up til the early hours. It's the ENGLISH premier league, they'll use UK times and not think of those abroad. Much like the tours where we were in Oz. 11am on a weekday? You can chill out and watch it in bed in the morning. What's wrong with that?

OR would you rather we go back to Europa League and guaranteed Sunday games just for your Saturday mornings?

Just give me the 10am, 1230 and 230 games on Saturdays. Surely, 3pm, 530pm and 730pm are better time slots for tv anyway in England?

There is no chance in hell they play as bad as they did vs Burnley and similarly, there is no way there back 4 plays as awful as they did the last 2 matches(Woolwich and Burnley). This will be a tough match. We need to score more than 1 goal if we want to get anything out of this, IMO.

I really dont think we will do that if we continue to start Wanyama and Dier together. Its just way too redundant and offers absolutely nothing going forward. And trying to counter that with starting Janssen and Kane together doesnt work either. Poch is trying to put square pegs in round holes. It just doesnt work. One team that cant score or create vs one team that cant defend. Lets see who wins out.

No games in England can be televised between 3-5:30 pm on a Saturday...it's the law, it's done to ensure grounds are full(ish)
We can't even televise foreign games between those times either.
U should be grateful you're on the East Coast...my bro has to get up at 4am !

I watch the vast majority of matches on DVR. I just don't have the time/freedom to sit down undisturbed for 90 minutes (plus 15 for halftime and 5 for AET) on a Saturday right now!

However, I've convinced my next door neighbor to follow Spurs, so he's coming over to watch live tomorrow at 7:30 am. I'll be shitting myself.

Liverpool tend to turn up for the big games but struggle badly with so called lesser teams, so for that reason Im going for a draw.
We have not really got going yet and Liverpool are woefully inconsistant.

Liverpool these days are always a tough proposition as they are so unbalanced. Great going forward but still awful at the back.

I think as long as we are on it, I can see us doing them 3-1 but we have to be clinical. Liverpool have been good for 20 mins at that lot and apart from that have been average at best. Problem is we can't have they wobble that the scum had

I'm actually feeling pretty good about this game. I'd feel even better if Dembele was available but I still think we'll score more than them. They are missing some key players. I'd like to see Poch go for this and only play 1 DM but I'm guessing he'll play 2. Our press is better than theirs, if we get at them early on I think they'll struggle. Would love to smash them for once.

This is one game where we really miss Dembele. I would've been confident going into this had we had a midfield 3 of Dier, Wanyama and Dembele. We simply don't have any other midfielder besides him that can hold the ball and it was fairly obvious seeing our lack of fluency in the past couple games.

As opposed to all those other games without Dembele where we didn't miss him at all?
