I think it’s important to realise how quickly things can change in football, for good and bad.

West ham finished last season 16th, they signed Coufal, Soucek, Dawson, Lingard and Benrahma and now they are fighting for the CL places. Most of their squad is the same as the one that struggled for years. We could be back very quickly. Our team needs someone to guide it and fix its flaws.

Skipp and Sessegnon back, a good manager and a good window we'll be OK.

The difference is they are a squad of nobody’s who will work and graft for a manager. We have a squad of over hyped players who think they are better than they are and will not work for anyone.

That's pretty optimistic. This is painful alright, but there isn't a rebuild under way as yet. We fucked away a couple of seasons. In fact, we still seem to be crumbling and may lose one or both key pillars we have. The bottom might still be some way off.

We have bought 12 players in 2 seasons, 7 of them considered 'young'

If this isn't a rebuild then I don't know what is, just because we are going backwards doesn't mean it's any less of a rebuild...don't confuse process with progress.

As a seven year old girl, please, Mr grown up man, would you help me to understand what I should be thinking? Please tell me the secrets of your wisdom.

Well I wouldn't be wishing our star player to play somewhere else purely because I'm over emotional to the point where I harbour feelings for said player first before my club.

It's actually embarrassing if you really think about it and it's a complete loser mentality of you ask me.

Yes, we have a lot of dead wood with a losing mentality.

Or it could be that we need to refresh the players too. Fergie said that a team only lasts 5 seasons and maybe he was right. At the moment we seem more disjointed than anything. Also if you don’t really believe you deserve something, and we have been terrible all season, maybe the players aren’t really up for it. I am sure Kane is looking forward to playing in the Euros more than getting us a possible 4th.
I hope Kane puts more effort in at the Euros than he does for us or he might as well stay at home.

We bought 12 players to make up the numbers, none of them delivering anything of note. A process would suggest a guiding hand of oversight and direction, while a 29 year old novice manages some of his mates. The managers who brought these guys in are no longer employed by the club. Our record signing was brought in and given 12 league games with the manager who persuaded him to come.

Unless you're suggesting Levy and Macclesfield Town's Steve Hitchen are the intelligent designers overseeing this process?

As a grown man, I thought you might be able to interpret my words a little better, but no judgements made. You've been quite creative.

I'm not wishing our best player away, merely considering it sad that if he wants to leave he would be forced to continue plying his trade at a club that's going nowhere. He deserves better. That's it. Do you disagree with that?

I'm not over emotional. I've followed us through thick and thin, my feelings are based the painful and self inflicted decline of the footballing side of our club. This is years and years of resentment built up. There is no ambition to win anything and that shows now all the way down to players mentalities.

Tying a few new branches on to a rotten core of roots and trunk is not a rebuild, we need to upend those roots and plant an entirely new tree. We need to rebuild.

Right...I don't even know what that 2nd paragraph is supposed to mean or how it's relevant to anything?

This is a transitional period for the club, just because things aren't working out doesn't make it any less so. Think we're all just gonna have to be patient, maybe folk expect the rebuild to take 2 season and aren't prepared to wait for longer but it looks like we're gonna have to.

You're not telling me anything I don't know by the way, it just sounds like your venting.

Forced? No one forced him to sign that 6 year contract either but he did and in turn agreed to be the highest paid player at the club, poor Kane indeed.

You talk about having no ambition yet you're ready to happily willingly accept our star player to leave... I mean what's all that about? As a fan you either want us to improve as a club and move forward or you can accept the we are also rans, it seems like you are leaning to the latter...

You're talking about the club's and the player's mentality that we have no ambition...can you not see the irony of you saying that, where's your fight?

I don’t know how Dier manages to hoodwink every new manager, they eventually realise he’s a disaster and drop him. Then the new guy comes in and he’s back!! He’s like an unflushable turd!!
Unfortunately the new manager had always rated him, as does Southgate. Every chance he will get in the Euro squad. Doesn’t bear thinking about.
No doubt he did a good job with Poch in midfield but when he played at the back he never looked like a proper centre half, still doesn’t .
We’ve seen that second goal a few times with Eric. He is just not aware. God knows what he was doing with the first, letting it run across the area.

Wait for what? What are we transitioning from and to? You appear to have some confidence in a direction here and I'm just wondering what the basis is for it. I'm not telling you anything you don't know, which suggests you agree with some of it. But are you suggesting we're heading back to matching or beating the standard of Poch's time? That this progress-free transition is only temporarily progress free? Is it not more likely to be a free falling cock up?

You're still reading things the way you want to aren't you? Where do you get that I am happy and willing that Kane leaves the club?

There's no point talking to you if you're gonna twist what I say to suit arguments which you're attempting to construct.

We need to plant a new tree, as rational fans about the only thing we can "fight" for is the growing momentum for Enic to do one.

There is no twisting words involved, you literally said this:

Will make my heart upset if Kane doesn't decide to leave

How is anyone meant to take that? It's not my fault if your initial comment was OTT and now you've decided to backtrack...just own the comment.

If you think ENIC is the devil and you're well within your rights, surely we'd be in a weaker position without Kane with ENIC at the helm? I don't know what tree you think we can plant here?

1 I will be sad if Kane doesn't want to leave the club.

2 I happily want Kane to leave the club.

Do you think they are the same?
