Has anyone else picked up how often Dier is sloppy with his distribution from defence when under little pressure. It Doesn't seem to depend on length of pass either. Just noticed it the last few games and also against Leeds today?

I have noticed, but not picked on what foot he is hitting them with, or if he is cutting back in and trying to hit it too quick.

He's not the only one, so let's not make this about Dier.

Toby does it, Winks does it, Davies does it, Davinson does it, Sissoko does it.

I call it pointless passing. Where they stand still and wait, already deciding they are going to pass it whether there's anything on or not rather than attack the space and draw a defender out.

Did Hojbjerg get his 5th yellow?
Think that means he’s out for the FA Cup game if so. Wouldn’t be surprised if Mourinho told him to get it reminiscent of Ramos in the CL ?

Follow up to this:

Just looked on the Premier League website and it says 3

He has 3, and 5th yellow means suspension for next PL game I think. Doherty's red card means he will miss next game but it can be any English games, in that case Brentford

Thanks, yes double-checked it earlier and didn't know it applied to Carabao Cup games too.

Ae we talking about the same Aurier ?

The one that gave away the inexplicable penalty against Leicester less than two weeks ago ?

The one that has had 2 red cards during his time with us ?

I’m not judging them on getting a red cards, every time I watch Doherty play he’s poor.

Aurier is a much better player and fits in a lot better than him.

If you honestly believe Doherty is a better player that’s your opinion but I just can’t see it, seeing Aurier in the starting 11 gives me a lot more confidence than seeing Doherty start, he just doesn’t offer anything.

I never listen to the commentary: who wants to know how many goals a player scored last season etc? Especially if the verbiage is coming from an ex gooner or a Manure has been. If a guy standing next to you at the Lane carried on chatting such rubbish you would smash him in the mouth.
That's the reason I watch it on Portuguese or Croatian stations that I can't understand!
I watched it today on a Portuguese channel. I could vaguely make out something they were saying about West ham around the 80th minute mark

Their Sport TV channels are the best foreign channels for PL matches for me. No nonsense studio pundits, superior image quality and most close to being real time live.

Yeah like I said it was a good performance. Leeds were utterly toothless and found themselves in a number of dangerous positions in the first half. We were fortunate that they didn’t take them, but ultimately a fully deserved win.
Leeds huffed and puffed but didn’t really trouble us at all. They were fortunate WE didn’t take our chances or it could’ve been at least 6 or 7 nil.

Weird to see a team win 3-0 with the commentators banging on on about how good the team that lost are for the full 90 mins ?

We are the first team to stop this great team from scoring away from home ?
It was a full 70 mins before the commentators acknowledged how well we’d been defending.
