You're spot on. I'd like to see a real rule change whereby the ball is considered to be "in play" once a referee blows the whistle for a restart, but with opposing players still having to abide by the 10 yards rule until the ball is physically played. So yesterday's "foul" by Jan would indeed have been a foul regardless of whether the corner had been taken or not.
I wasn't surprised that the guilty party was Vertonghen. He's a serial offender when it comes to grappling.

Arsenal as much as fooking don't like say so still finished above us though!!! I understand about the new stadium your not getting what I'm saying. The new stadium will not be paid for by funds out of Lewis/Enics back pocket. The naming rights alone will cover most of the payment required also with the massive amount of money from T.v rights and NFL. So they are paying it off the back of Spurs not Enic. As I said they will make so much money potentially if they then sell THFC. This is the second time in to the champions league and we have not strengthened to challenge for league and cup..The same happened last time and all we bought was Saha and Nelson on frees when we were 2nd in the league and in the knock out stages of the champions league. It is happening again buddy..
Ok, that's clearer, thank you.

You are 100% correct in saying that the model that ENIC employ is that the club spends on transfers and wages what it generates itself. But it follows directly from that that when the stadium is built, the amount of money that can be spent on transfers and (more importantly) wages will increase exponentially, and that that increase will be immediate if we can fund the stadium without significant long term debt. This is where ENIC have contributed their own money - possibly as much as half of the cost of the stadium construction.

No doubt ENIC will sell the club at some point in the future and will make a massive profit in doing so, but the more successful and healthier the club is, the more they will make.

I agree with what your saying but they have hardly put any of there own money in due to massive profit they are making every transfer window. Champions league money, T v money etc . What is also worrying is the fact that Mitchell one of the best scouts in Europe has left for a lesser club and the U18 coach has jacked in. If we were so called going in the right direction why have they left? My answer would be our Daniel Levy not going in the direction they want to take the club in. Mitchell scouted Batsauyi from Chelsea for six months told Levy he is exactly what Spurs need, got to the medical stage Levy pulled the plug so why on earth would you have such a talent at your club if your not going to back him?? Levy is just happy where we are 4th or 5th every season ..

tbh it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out Batsu was a good player, so if that's the barometer Mitchell is to be compared against then that isn't a good one. If, say he had scouted and hand picked Dele Alli then that's another story, but we opted out of the Batsu deal for financial reasons and for a club where we are, it made business sense to get Janssen in rather than Batsu.
So if that caused Mitchell to question his use at Spurs then that's as much him to blame as it is us. imhp, his directive should have been to find more Alli's and if he cant do that then maybe a club willing to spend megabucks on an already known player with abilities - for the high fee - is whats best for him.

Agree with what you are saying so why are they all leaving the U18 coach has gone today. Mitchell gave Poch and Levy the targets and levy told him to ram it so if that's the case why employ him???
