Eh……..for real?

1 - Mount would never, in a million years, join Spurs due to his love for Chelsea.

2 - Mount is shit. Not got one single attribute that is stand out.

3 - Mount is shit. Again.
Except when he plays against us... then he becomes a world beater for two games a season.

Wonder if we could tempt Marcus Rashford into coming in to be part of the next generation front 3 and have Rashford, Richarlison, Kulusevski. Would get plenty of time on the pitch as he can play all across the front line and could take over from Son in a year or 2 as the main man on the left and play up top with Kane until then and with Richarlison in a 2 once we move on from Kane and Son.

No one wants it to happen but it’s probably around now we need to start planning for life without Son and Kane. Rashford is out of contract this summer with United
Really interesting idea, I think rashford would really benefit from a fresh start away from man.u, equally he could go back after this World Cup and really kick on for them.

Would certainly not say no to him but can’t see it happening.

I know we have no chance of getting him as no doubt he will go straight to Barca or Madrid but Enzo Fernandez is one hell of a talent.

I think we enquired for Rashford at the beginning of last summer. Obviously didn’t recieve a favourable response

Yeah I’m not sure why his name came up. ETH is a big fan of his and they are in discussions to extend his contract. He’s started almost every game for them. Zero chance they sell.
Yeah agreed. Maybe he wants the change though? He’s been there his whole career might just be time to go somewhere else. He is coming to the end of his contract so might we’ll be available on a pre contract in Jan

Today’s links:
TMW linking us with Josip Sutalo, talented young CB with Dinamo Zagreb. Not a great source but I always pay a bit more attention when it’s a random player not likely to generate big clicks.

BILD linking us with Piero Hincapie saying we were interested in a £34.5m deal in summer and still interested in January.

90 mins linking us with Mohammed Kudus along with a number of other prem clubs

Hincapie, Kudus and Porro would be a dream window

I find it surprising that we've gone from "We're going to spend big and support the manager" in the summer to now getting quite a negative response from Trix and Hercules about the winter window. Has something changed? Could it be that Italian prisons only allow one phone call a day, so Paratici can only talk to either a club or agent per day (I'm assuming he'll need to phone his mother at least once a week)?

Dream on. Not bring sarcastic, just need reality check. And I know you are not stating that.
Yeah. I would hope Porro is at least attainable given we have leverage on the sell on clause with his team mate and he has a buy out clause. Worrying times though to be honest.

Do we have any information to suggest Conte actually would want Porro?

I think the biggest thing that I see is that at the end of the day, Conte wants certain players that can slot right into his XI and help the team. Conte has said repeatedly that Tottenham in the past have made mistakes in the market.

So although our supporters deem Porro, Hincampie, and Kudus as dream signings, maybe Conte sees it as Bonucci, Dumfries, and Zaniolo. We might say they're not good enough.

I really don't think Conte cares about the cost of the player. If Bastoni is available in the Summer, and Conte wants him, I do think we'd spend the money if he was willing to come.

I think us as supporters see the next flashy player linked and get our heads down when it ends up being less than flattering on paper

I can't vouch for others, although I can't remember reading anyone else say it either, but I know I have never said we are going to spend big. Back the manager, yes, but there was a reason FP was brought in and it wasn't to spend obscene amounts of money.

That Juvegate is the elephant in the room, for me. I'm very worried how it may impact us. If indeed Juventus has been cooking the books for quite some time, I don't believe it happened without Paratici being seriously involved in it, especially with the Arthur/Pjanic deal.

I just hope we're prepared for everything that might happen.

Well this is all thoroughly depressing and just as I'd convinced myself we were going to storm the league in the second part of the season too. It's the hope... ???‍♂️

There is a certain irony that Levy is reluctant to pay for older players with limited sell-on value - given that many of our recent younger players also have no sell-on value...
