I don't expect us to spend a fortune but I'd expect a couple £20m deals and possibly a Kulusevski/Romero type loan

Really don't think he's the significant upgrade that would fix our issues. More of an expensive incremental improvement.

Spot on.

We would still be left with a RWB who isn't a great crosser, isn't great at dribbling 1 on 1 and isn't a particularly good passer of the ball.

We should be going for Frimpong at Leverkusen or Porro at Sporting if we want a new RWB. They are probably the two best options out there. Both offer big upgrades on certain attributes in the RWB area.

Yeah weird one for me personally. I love Dumfries and think he has all the physical attributes to make it in the PL and even think in our current set up he'd add some more goals and assists than what we have currently. However, in our set up, I think we need someone a bit less pace and power and a bit more precision like Porro.

Odd because if you could just go full fantasy mode, you'd probably have one option like Porro in your squad, and a game changer like Dumfries to balance that position.

Hopefully Spence can become that pace/power option in the future.

Being linked with McKennie and Amrabat makes me wonder if Conte wants one more in the midfield for times when we go with 3, or if he's looking for an improvement/replacement for Skipp.

Skipp's had a tough year with injuries and getting back up to speed, and out of the 4 CMs we have, he's probably received the fewest minutes. Not what I would do in my personal opinion, I just can't help but wonder with the links.

Skipp is home grown and club trained. We can't keep selling off our home grown players.

There is limited space in non home grown players

Skipp will likely prove his worth after the World Cup with more time to get himself fit again. He’s had a really shit year, I think this break to just focus on his game and getting into condition will do him good

I would stop wondering about "links". Those links can come from anywhere - often from the player's side (i.e. agent), or the selling club trying to create interest. Not all links mean Spurs are actively pursuing a player

I agree with all the quoted posts from mine above. Skipp getting a month back training under Conte, getting fit, and resting all in one is an overall good thing for him and the club. He's HG and I only want him to succeed and work towards become the first name on the sheet.

I also don't easily buy into links, but with the amount of reputable journos and stories around McKennie (and Amrabat heating up too) it just made wonder that. It could simply be that Conte thinks he needs one more CM in the group as well. Not agreeing with the links, just was thought provoking

Would that be the same Poch who didn't want a DoF when he was here?
I'm not sure that his spell at PSG would've changed his mind either.

The point of having Paratici is that not only is he here to find players, he also has a say in the managerial appointments.

If Poch were to come back it's all down to a bromance between him and Levy.
I can't see it happening at all.
If levy fucks over Conte for Poch, he's also fucking Paratici off.
Can't see Paratici staying if Pochettino comes in. Which for me is a big blow because despite his questionable decisions on managers, he's clearly in the process of overhauling the scouting set up. Poch would likely tear that all down again.

I doubt it's realistic but Kingsley Coman is a good player who's in and out of the starting eleven at Bayern but has 1 goal and 4 assists in 500 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has a high valuation at Transfermarkt and renewed this summer IIRC, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he moves to another club within the next two seasons. Couldn't he be a great addition to our side?

Not the kind of character you want at the club. He has been convicted of domestic violence.

Wonder if we could tempt Marcus Rashford into coming in to be part of the next generation front 3 and have Rashford, Richarlison, Kulusevski. Would get plenty of time on the pitch as he can play all across the front line and could take over from Son in a year or 2 as the main man on the left and play up top with Kane until then and with Richarlison in a 2 once we move on from Kane and Son.

No one wants it to happen but it’s probably around now we need to start planning for life without Son and Kane. Rashford is out of contract this summer with United

I think his rekindled form and hunger for football will earn him a new contract at United to be honest. Otherwise, yeah, I think he'd be a very good shout for us.

Joachim Andersen feels like a realistic and excellent option for CCB. Just looks absolutely class whenever I watch him. Reads the game well and has great passing range and touch.

Yeah, hes on big money too already. Unless he wants a change, I can see him signing a big new contract. If he goes, hell either go abroad to a big club or the only team I can see paying the wages etc is Chelsea, (who he would go to being a untied lad)

Yeah agree with others, and I also think he'll sign a new deal or move on for astronomical wages. But if I'm FP I'd be chucking everything we can give at him

Is that the same Joachim we passed up on before he went to Fulham and then before he felt glad all over ?

Can’t agree with this. Dumfries has all the attributes including one of the best goal and assist stats in a top tier team out there. Porro is a good shout but is coming from a much weaker league. Frimpong isn’t much above Spence’s current level IMO and doesn’t seem like a Conte signing.

Don’t get me wrong, Dumfries isn’t quite in the same class as say Hakimi but given the bare market out there he’s probably the most suited to a Conte style, proven RWB with solid stats that could be available in Jan.
