Transfer windows are a bloody farce for our once great club. No player bought for 12 months and ITK saying we are either skint, player never on (Rabiot) or disgruntled ex-employee (Mitchell) doesn't want to sell us Werner. Furthermore, we seem to be targeting players who are either too expensive or have no interest in coming. Makes you question our scouting.

One common theme that seems to be apparent....we don't want to spend to get to the next level or even maintain where we are. Just seem to be plodding along in hope rather than expectation. Only spend on infrastructure/property to increase the value of the club. This coupled with the stadium fiasco does really make you question how the club is run and their motives.

Danny Rose still spot on 4 windows on from that interview. JJ itk basically stating we havent a notion how to sign players to take us to the next level.

The best to take from the recent itk is that the club are working behind the scenes to get a transfer in, we are not stupid not to talk to potential targets (as alluded in many itk posts, we court players for a while) however whether for now or the future is still an unknown but we are trying :)

There's literally no other legitimate options out there for us to make a 'statement' signing, so don't expect one.

We should just go back to targeting younger signings with potential, it's clear we just can't compete for top players.
Can't or wont? The latter as far as I can tell from the itk just bollocks really.

Chaps go vent in the various player threads etc, only end up banned and miserable otherwise as opposed to just miserable.
