If Conte wants Lenglet, so be it. This is a manager who played Ugly David Luiz in back3 and won the PL. Lenglet had a brilliant start to Barca career, had a good time in Sevilla as well

Unlike most Spurs fans I see, I am not given up on him. He is a talented center back who has lost his way. If Conte wants him, I am more than happy to go along with the signing.

If this was Lenglet a couple of seasons back, before the Barca move, most on here would have been over the moon.
It/something obviously hasnt worked out for him at Barca.
A change of scene and a manager who will a. Believe in him and b. Coach him could be all he needs

Seems like a lot of fans don't want Lenglet. The player has played 15 times for France & gets regular games for Barcelona. Conte has proven he can improve players, so if he wants him, I want him. Also means we can use the money saved for other targets & we still have Davies!

'Conte wants him I want him' is such a bad way of looking at a transfer. Not like awful players haven't been bought to clubs whilst Conte is the manager (Drinkwater, Bakayoko etc). It astounds me how him and particularly Paratici are untouchable on here. Lenglet would be a shit signing.

The potential Lenglet signing seems like Paratici has pressed the panic button to me.

It must mean there's no chance of Gvardiol, Bastoni, N'dicka, Bremer, Torres etc...

Who knows? Conte might improve him, but he's been absolutely shocking for Barcelona and it would be very underwhelming.

Possibly might also be that a cheap LCB deal gives us room for some very big deals in other places or that he is just a option in case Pau Torres and the like falls through.

No more so than "He's been shit for 18 months at Barca so he would necessarily be a shit signing for us".

There's no way we dont get Ndicka, maybe even Torres if we dont want them. Its also June so he hasnt pushed the panic button. Must seriously be a higher option after Bastoni and Gvardiol. It also potential allows moves such as Raphinha or Richarlison not having to be one or the other. But both. This wouldnt be the worst idea.

Lenglet has been mentioned for a while now since Conte joined so must be a fan.

Like I said above. He isnt quick and when Setien & Koeman come in he literally played on half way line with Pique who cant shift either so it was a disaster.

If its a loan with option, then lets see how he gets on. If hes terrible we go again in January or go for Bastoni with one year left in summer.

This is not encouraging... starting to fear for the worst if Lenglet is the best we can get in our priority position. Not to mention the other targets across the other positions aren't very inspiring either.

What is more likely though? That Antonio Conte is a great evaluator of talent, or that some dude on an internet forum is? I've been guilty of it myself in the past but do you HONESTLY think that your evaluation of a player is in any way on the same level as Antonio Conte? Hell, take the worst manager in the Prem and I would wager that he has forgotten more about football and footballers than you or I will ever know. That's why he is there and we are here.

Think a few are writing this guy off just like that. The guy was really good at Sevilla and we know what Conte does to players.

We were first linked with him weeks ago. If there is any truth to it it's probably Paratici lining up the insurance option should any of the other four or five priority targets not get signed.

If Rodon is going surely we’ll be bringing in two CBs? No problem with him coming if we’re also signing a big money CB too.

Don't claim to know much about Lenglet, but many thought Deki was turd for Juve and look how he turned out.

He may have had a hard time at Barca, but was good enough at Sevilla to earn his big move (similar to Deki at Parma).

Last season Barca were woeful by their standards... the whole team looked ordinary yet there's still a number of players we wouldn't hesitate to sign if offered. Lenglet on loan would be a sensible signing, especially if it means we can also bring in our other targets across CB, RWB, ACM, WFWD and/or a striker.
