Few things

- They are standing as stated
- They are in their places prior to the teams coming out
- They serve beer in view of the pitch
- Orchestrated chanting

Will we do any of this?

Yes - We in the South stand currently stand up all game every game.
Yes - The stadium is always full prior to the teams coming out.
No - We won't serve beer in view of the pitch.
Maybe - There's no reason why not. We used to have a drummer.

As I sit on the shelf not that far away from you and stand up myself for the games I know point 2 is not true - a lot enter almost at kick-off, maybe to finish their beers or go to the loo. Sound bites suggest the club are looking to house a lot of the current standard ST holders in the new south stand and I have my doubts they will allow standing - Spammers style. So I just cannot see it replicating Dortmund.

not a fan of orchestrated chanting...even more so when it bears no relation to the ebb and flow of the actual game...it's just a kind of analogue version of piped in music
A very German thing, one man stands at the front shouts something and the crowd respond as one, they are very good followers.

I might be wrong, but as a spanish learner I think the title should be read as 'the latest wonder of london'. The article is good press but just describes the project and quotes the official line.

Interesting news with the Raiders needing a new home for a year before they move into their new stadium.

Happens to be after we should be well and truly moved into NWHL, a perfect opportunity to test out having a London franchise??

Talked before how this could be done and just heard a Canadian rugby league team are starting to do the same. They play blocks of games over here against UK opposition and fans are given subsidised travel to away games.

Levy in the financial results:

“We continue to focus on ensuring that the future of the Club is protected at all times and therefore, whilst everyone is eager to know if this is our last season at the Lane, we shall only make the decision to decommission our historic White Hart Lane when we have greater certainty on the delivery of the new stadium."

Personally have always thought the club's literature has been pointing towards us not leaving this season, it's clearly too much of a risk that it won't be ready and we'll end up at Wembley for 2 seasons. If they don't know for sure by now, they're never going to take that big of a gamble.

To me it sounds like stadium works are on schedule. Levy is putting pressure on the local authority and other public sector bodies to improve the infrastructure around WHL.

The progress of the construction programme and the delivery timetable for the new stadium and associated public sector infrastructure works – both of which are paramount before any decision will be made on the decommissioning of White Hart Lane – are being closely monitored.

Two years at Wembley would not be what we want but it would have absolutely no effect on the long term financial security of the club so I do not see it as a reason to delay moving out.
It is clearly better to move out and get on with the stadium allowing an easy finish in two years than to delay and still have a tight deadline in two years just to avoid an extra year in Wembley.

I can't see how two years at Wembley would be necessary. The South Stand will be much quicker to put up than the other 3/4. I think our league form will really dip next year due to playing there, and definitely don't want it for two years.

Maybe the Raiders could try using Mexico City as a 'home' for a season before moving to LV. The time and cost involved in travelling to Mexico will be a heck of a lot less than they would be for flying back and forth across the Atlantic every other week.
