Isn't this dependent on Evans leaving? Makes sense that they will want that money and wages open first .

When I saw Wimmer a few weeks ago, he looked like the only player out of shape--a good 20/25lbs heavier than anybody else...seems odd considering the intense preseason regiment but maybe he just doesn't fit the Poch mould. He was solid in his first year when Jan was injured but not the most solid last year. People on here are talking about how talented he is but in my opinion, I don't see him being more than a squad player for us or any other contending team.

Hope he ends up at Albion, I know I'm in the minority but I have a lot of respect for Pulis.

Pullis will be good for Wimmer; it's attacking players he stifles

I'd agree but to be honest defence is his bread and butter, it's the reason why he was done so well, relatively speaking.

Plenty of smaller teams get bigges up for trying to play great football but ulimately get relegated, Pulis does what he needs to to get every point.

Clearly not you, I like to follow where our players go and how they do.

I hate Tony Pulis. I hate him with an irrational hatred bordering on the clinical. However, this hatred only occurs twice a year. On the other 290+ days of the season and 363 days of the year he seems a standup guy that is deserving of respect. NBCsn has a behind the scenes look at clubs in the 'Being Liverpool' way and the WBA one was great. And he seemed pretty damned likeable.

I respect him as a coach but he is allegedly massively dodgy in football terms as evidenced by Gillingham and palace. Any manager asking for a clause in his contract to earn when he sells players is rotten to me. When you know that and you watch him trying to sell evans, berahino etc it is grim.

I'd say a lot of his era were at it, it was part of the game. We have seen it with Harry and Big Sam, dare I say Fergie. I certainly don't condone it but as a manager, personal dealings aside I think he is great for the league. How exactly was he asking for a % cut? I can understand a bit if he had identified these players and brought them in but not if they were just a blanket of every player sold of the squad.

DISCLAIMER!: I know @Archibald&Crooks is on his period these days so a simple "watch it" warning will lead to the winding of my neck in, if this is way off topic.

I hear your point but it could be ethically argued that it is reasonable for the coach to get a percentage of any transfer fee. Why? Because the difference in the purchase price of the player and the selling price can be attributed to the efforts of that coach. Now I do understand that this could feel/seem/devolve into something real slavery-y but there is a point in there. Teams don't own people they control the footballing exploits of the people. If you improve those and make that person a more attractive asset then why shouldn't you receive something.

You get a salary with bonuses for the success of the team. When they start getting money for dismantling the squad it's a conflict of interest. Imagine if hee was in charge at spurs. Would you want him profiting from selling Kane, Ali, eriksen et al? He would be falling over himself to move them on.
