I wouldn't give up on this just yet. I'm sure Redknapp will at least try and invite him down for talks (if he's not already on holiday). Once he can get in front of the player it won't be just about money.

Plus if we could tempt Villa with a loan arrangement for Bentley (which they may in fact be interested in) then who knows.

Too old for the money , we already have Modric playing LM and I dont see Barry as an upgrade on Jenas in CM either.

He's much better than JJ, surely this should be obvious to anyone? Spurs fans most of all should know how infuriating Jenas is, Barry is n outstanding centre mid, jenas is a good one 1 out of every 4 games but for the rest of the time he's just plain old Jenas.

A CM trio of de Jong, Barry and Ireland could work very well. Villa fans i imagine will be slightly pissed as there was all the talk of going to a CL club. Well Citeh finished below Villa and aint even in Europe but at least he will pick up something like 90-100k

The Man City ITK's are now claiming talks have finished and it's a done deal.

So City would be playing?

Not bad at all... but shouldn't be a threat unless they learn how to play away from home...

Oh, and who the crap is their RB?! I can't for the life of me remember?
Richards, who wants to stay there as it's his best way back to the England squad. Onouha most likely to be at CB.

It's no big loss if he goes to City. There are better players out there. Harry will come good and sort it.

Only for £11 million too. Thats a decent price for his quality of player.

Ill be annoyed if we didnt push city to bring barry here.

At least we wont have endless Gareth Bale debates in the future then. I imagine he would divide opinion on here if we actually saw him week in, week out.
