Woodgate and Tainio both played the full 93 minutes tonight,Lennon 68 and Chimbonda 60 and looked like he got a knock.

Not good news for Sunday imo!

Very much doubt Tainio will play on Sunday now as he will be fucked and he was one of our best players alonside JJ against Arse.

Tainio was never going to play on Sunday anyway imo. It'll be Zokora

Don't read to much into it.

Hutton, King, Lennon, Berbatov, Keane, Jenas, Steed all have not played 90 minutes - and we have had a full week between the UEFA games so I reckon the squad should be strong enough - I would expect the players to be 100% come Sunday.

Zokora is better at centre back than centre mid imo,Tainio is the best holder we have as illustrated against Arse.

Zokora also played 93 minutes tonight!

I know it's boring listening to all this negitivity and we may as well be positive, just think we might regret playing Tainio for the full 90 odd tonight instead of Lee.

I agree, I was hoping Lee would play at TT would be rested or at least subed on the hour mark tonight I now have a feeling that TT will not make the final and I really believe he could be key in the DM role that he does so well

Sorry I didn't realise pro footballers couldn't play two matches in a week.

It's not like they broke sweat tonight is it?

You're a liar and a scoundrel.

One game doesn't make a man.

Zokora will play the holding role on Sunday

Arsenal v Spurs 1st Leg

Chelsea v Spurs Prem

Spurs too knackered to get out of 1st gear, play shit and lose 2-0.

Thats the point. I know a cup final is a bigger game.

However even away to Chelsea in the league, should be a big enough incentive, to kick in the so called ''adrenaline rush'' needed, to overcome the tirdness and do well but it wasn't cause alot of our players were obviously too knackered from the game on Wednesday.

A human beings muscles need time to repair, weather they are athletes or not makes no difference, it's just basic biology, the body needs rest, getting payed a few million quid doesn't change that fact.

Hence why all the top managers try to rest players when possible.

Rollocks.

The only way to look at this is that the players have done sod all except a virtual exhibition match away in Prague for the past fortnight. Last night was getting some match-time into their legs and avoiding defeat, which we did.

Half the side haven't played a full match, but the very fact that most of them played at all shows you that it was important that they had some game-time.

They'll all be fine for Sunday. Even Martin Jol's reported 'Meat Pie and Jelly Babies only' diet wouldn't cause a problem with playing last night and Sunday.

The glass certainly is half full 2nite, the fact that Lennon.Jenas,Berbs,Keane,Hutton, Steed didnt play full games 2nite and were through is surely a positive, Ramos's selection was spot-on though at one point it looked we might go to extra time were through and a lot of first team matchwinners didnt play the whole 90

It doesn't matter who is picked or whose played what games, a cup final is a one off. Either a player will bottle it, or it will lift him.
We just gotta believe that whoever Juande choses to wear the shirt on Sunday, gives 101% for 90+ minutes. If they do that, we've a chance of winning.
If not.,.....
