So glad Porro is available he will give us a lot of the creativity and I would imagine Sarr will be important getting forward.

Aside from the back four that is still a strong side. I'm okay with it and it's as expected. Bentancur still coming back to full fitness and Dorrington, Phillips and Donley not ready to start. Was just a question of Hojbjerg or Lo Celso.

Hojbjerg has come on nearly every game and done well at stabilising our midfield. He's not going to do what Maddison does, but he won't destroy our play. I think it's a worry that Gio is getting a shot as he should be the next best option.

Do not like that team. Hojberg in is cowardly. Devoid of any creativity. Lo celso is clearly done here
We are away from home and have a makeshift backline completely unsuited to Ange's system playing the highline.

Hojbjerg will clearly need to drop in when necessary to aid the defence and we will likely play much more counter attacking with a real focus on Johnson.

Given how brave our philosophy and football has been this season - I will admit to being a bit disappointed that we have gone for a really conservative midfield solution and shoehorned players into defence rather than trying some youngsters
Exactly this

I don’t get the hate for Hojberg. I think he’s done very well recently and I’ll give him my full support as long as he’s a Spurs player. Yes I’ll give him stick if he screws up just like I would any other player.
Hojberg, Dier and Skipp did very well last game considering they’ve not been involved in much first team football, especially Dier.

No Le Celso, think he will go in January now
For sure he will, considering we were trying to offload PEH in summer yet he is ahead of Gio in, what we assume, a more attacking role pretty much means his time here is over.

We might get away with it today but playing a high line with Davies and Dier as CBs against Villa and City would be tantamount to footballing suicide.

Disappointed in that midfield 3 but not that surprised. Not really sure why we kept Lo Celso if we aren’t going to play him when Maddison is out.
Can we really trust lo celso? He's always injured and when he's played (in a competitive match) he's generally been ineffective. I'd take Hoijberg ahead of Lo Celso everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

The midfield doesn't bother me that much, but that defence is a massive problem, if we play a high line this could get very ugly.

Agree, I get the conservative approach but it doesn’t really seem to add up with how we played when down to 9 against Chelsea. Just have to hope we don’t have to chase the game as I struggle to see that midfield creating much but here’s hoping!

But our best bet is to outscore we aren’t gonna be defensively solid and before the jokes come in I mean win like 4-3 etc as we are gonna concede
I just don't think he trusts Lo Celso to start.

That being said he needs to make much more of an impact than he has shown.
What chance has he had? We should have sold him in summer. We need creativity

Not sure why people are disappointed in Hojbjerg starting. Ange said he would pick the team that gives us the best chance to win, and he has consistently praised Hojbjerg’s performances all season. Given the short turn-around, it was always going to be Hojbjerg today.
