I’ve seen a lot of people suggest a 352 and while I think it may suit us better, I really don’t think Conte will play it now.

He spends months prepping his system and drilling every inch of it in to the players. I would be stunned if he switches from the 343 he is now drilling, to a 352.

So I think it’s best to assume we will primarily look to play 343 under him.

He totally changed Chelsea’s system about 8 games in after spending all pre-season on a different system.

Good looking side but, could have, should have brought in De Ligt and De Jong a few years ago.
Only problem is we still need players near to that level to push them.

By all accounts they didn’t want to come a few years ago. De Jong had his heart set on Barca, and there was no way we were paying what Junventus did for De Light.

Conte wants new, hungry players with the right mentality - won’t mean it’s the most expensive or the biggest name. I suspect we may be surprised by some signings.

He did but he had been training that system at the same time in case he felt he needed to change to it. He did and the players adapted so quickly because they had some familiarity to it.

I was surprised when I read that.

Not only did he just change it, he didnt just make a slight tweak. He went 343 from 4 at the back changing like 4 players. A 352 here would be 1 change of player. And would probably help open the middle of the pitch which is VERY crowded right now in our 343.

Well that will have to be a gradual process. First is to get the first 11 in order

I'd be lying if I wasn't a bit scarred from buying in both France & Holland.
In general, most of the players we’ve bought in the past 4 years have been poor (can’t judge the most recent summer buys yet). But can only judge players where they’re currently playing. It’s easy to compare him to Modric, but there’s more than just the position, physical similarities, nationality, Dinamo. He’ll make his mark on the game with the ball with accurate, progressive passes. Won’t waste time in possession, will always be aware with the ball. “Controlling the game” is a bit of a cliché, but that is what he does best. In that the game is played at his pace, and he directs most attacks and most of the build up for Rennes. He’s left footed unlike Modric, but it’s a wand, and he has genuine creativity from midfield, and actually from a pivot playing as a box to box 8.

But then we’ll never know if players’ abilities will carry over to a new league, a tougher league. No one’s a guarantee to succeed. We all just have to trust Paratici, and we have to have a plan for all signings. Buy players with a clear idea in mind for each of them, and make sure this plan is laid out before signing a player. That’s all we can ask for. I agree though nearly all of our recent signings have scarred me too, no matter where they came from.

Ofc we are looking at other league and them Italy the most

Paratici and Conte knows the league, it's cheap compared to PL etc. Still looking for cb, midfield and forward but Conte is giving chances to all our players so they dan show him what they are up for.

Dele might go i think (hope)

I really hope Levy will give Conte what he want and them especially get rid of some players

Interesting goings on at Juve. Wonder if this could effect Juves transfer dealings going forward and be curious to know if Fab was involved with any of this. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there is truth to this.

If the plan is to continue the 343, do whatever it takes to sign Moussa Diaby, Pedro Goncalves, or Christopher Nkunku to replace him. If the plan is 352/3412, I’d do whatever it takes to sign Dominik Szoboszlai, Lucas Paqueta, or Christopher Nkunku to replace him. Or just sign Nkunku no matter what, that’d make me really happy.
Didn't we sell him to besiktas?

Brozovic is a must. Playing well again. He can sign a pre contact in Jan. Conte knows him. He knows Conte and his system.

Key signing

He is a more mobile version of hojberg. Reportedly on 100k a week which I'm sure the club could nearly double on a 3 year deal. If he won't sign inter contract surely they would accept 15m for him in Jan
