Who would you replace Avb with if you had the chance?

There is a lot of disgruntled Spurs fans lately and rightly so, And whilst I feel that Avb is NOT the man to lead us to glory, Would it be a good move to sever our ties with him now? On the one hand I hate the idea of chopping managers around all the time as it does nothing for stability and tbh there is not a lot about who could drop into the role at Spurs and become effective and salvage what looks like is going to be a tough season ahead regardless.

At the same time, Avb has dramatically changed our team to the point where we look totally clueless. As a manager you have to play to the strengths of your players and not fit players into a system that devours your team of any creativity and makes them play an illogical way. You can argue that Avb has given us a defensive solidity and that the goals will come, Though even the most ardent of Avb support have to agree that his methods are just not working. He is seemingly unaware tactically what he needs to do to change a game to our favour when we go behind and his insistence on sticking to his rigid system is holding back our creativity.

In my head, I am saying we should stick with him and hope that the penny drops and that he can turn this around and create a team that can seriously challenge. My heart on the other hand wants back what I loved most about Spurs and that is there endeavour to play the game with the flourish and flair that we have always tried to play. From my memory I can only remember a more negative manager that has ever graced our club and that was Graham, Because of his background he lasted not very long. Should Avb be given more grace than Graham? Let's face it we have much more talent at spurs than when Graham was manager and we seem further apart from where Harry left us.

If we had to get shot of Avb, Who could we get to replace him? An honest Question because I am as confused about this as our players are about Avb's system!!

I don't want rid of him but I'd be interested to know when it wouldn't be a joke? End of the season 5th or worse? With the investment made you know if We get no CL - DL will get rid.

AVB still has some time to get it right, so this thread is premature. However, not finishing in the top 4 or at least coming close, while winning a trophy, will almost certainly see him dismissed if Levy's history tells us anything.

However, if AVB does not cut it with us, then Michael Laudrup is the only choice. Footballing legend, success with lesser players in La Liga and EPL, while also playing very attractive football.. Is Danish, who speaks also speaks Spanish (important considering who are summer signings were), and would immediately command the respect of the players. He'd be the only person I'd be confident of being able to keep Lloris and Vertonghen at the club, in the event we didn't finish in the top 4.

At the end of the season might be a better time to look at it, yeah. We're only 1/3 into the season, there's still a lot to happen.

Klopp is the only manager I can think of that I'd be willing to trade AVB for. But that's not going to happen so let's stick with AVB.

Laudrup Is a good call well respected and can pull big players in

I understand and to some extent agree, Though what would likely change if Avb continued with his current system? I understand that the team will get better cohesion as the season goes on, Though I can't see how Avb's system will be a success regardless of the personnel. I feel at home especially we can be easily picked apart if a team is adventurous enough to use a effective counter attacking strategy. I always feel that we can be so dangerous if we get a goal early and force teams to come out of their shell and yet we always start with a very low tempo and look to pass the ball into the box. Avb simply gives his opposition number too many chances and is easy to play against. We score first it becomes an open game, They score first they shut up shop and leave us clueless.

Well I think I could have a good stab at it. My record on Football Manager and Championship Manager record before it, has been exceptional. I don't wish to sound too self congratulatory, but I have won every major honour. Even with lower league clubs. Jermain Defoe also broke Jimmy Greaves's Tottenham goal scoring record with me at the helm!
