Mike Ashley aside, I don't get the dislike for the Geordies. The fans up there are proper footy fans and you won't see a decline in support now they've been relegated. Good bunch imo.

I've started to chill on the fan rivalry. Not sure I really 'hate' another club or set of fans as a whole. Met too many decent lads and lasses from the main rivals. Chelsea, on match days, come very close to the hate mark mind you. This seqson was a test of my resolve.

Losing to West Ham makes me want to vomit, so i guess they are close.

The likes of Liverpool etc are an amusement.
Have to agree on the Geordies being proper football fans i loved the banter up there when we beat them 4-0 under Sherwood i have never had a problem with there fans its always been with the press & there chairman/owners where the hate for them stems from... Tbh i am lucky before i got ill i could go to so many away games because i wouldn't realise what good fans some of these teams up north have... Could never imagine going on the lash after a 4-0 win away to any London club with the other teams support

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Had a poll come through after 10,000 Premier League fans across the country were surveyed so I popped together this story. I get the obvious Arsenal and Chelsea hate for us, but Leicester? Were we that annoying to them last season apart from running them close until the final weeks?
Also Arsenal hate Chelsea more than us and the team we dislike most after the Gooners and Chelsea are Manchester United. What do you reckon? Not sure I agree with some of those.
Leicester fans had a notion that they weren't getting respect from the media for their style of football and that the media really wanted us to win the premier league. They also resented anyone who got in the way of their dream. I understand why they feel like that. They are caught between wanting to be the plucky underdog but at the same time they resent being seen as a small club.

I never really minded United, as they so often stopped Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool winning the league.

West Ham are number 1 for me by a considerable margin. Never met a fan of theirs that I like.

Odd results Man United third most disliked team by our fans, really!!

Most Spurs fans I know it's Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham and I would assume it's the same for most of us on this forum.

As Spurs fans we have two very good reasons not to hate United.

Firstly, if it wasn't for United, the scum would have been Premiership champions a darn sight more often than they were throughout the Ferguson years.

And secondly, they tempted Van Gaal way from joining us, just when it seemed inevitable that he was coming to WHL.

For me, the real hatred goes Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham in that order. Everybody else is irrelevant.
