From Arsemania:-
"Merson backing us to win 4-1. We're ****ed now..."

They obviously hold him in as high esteem as we do.:)

I know we've looked shit, but they have scraped a win against Burnley and Newcastle (when they were in much more disarray, though our defeat was unforgivable and all heads should spin) and got battered by Pool. They're hardly fucking juggernauts. Can't wait for their arrogance and confidence to dwindle as their shitness exposes itself over the season.

It's their attack having a go at our currently shit defense that's worrying me.

Honestly think it's 50/50. If we can get up to speed on the attack their defense isn't great and I'm sure Sonny will love seeing David Luiz again. Same can be said for them, our back line is having issues and on paper their front three could be lethal. They still need to gel in games though, only having training really up to this point. Our attack knows each other by now, their's don't and that could be the difference. Think it'll be a score draw, or one goal in it either way.

Exactly, bar our traditional rivals and Southampton.

As soon we strarted really progressing, we became hated by most.

I know we havnt won anything yet, but most fans can see how far we've come without a sugar daddy. Just think some don't like accepting that and they just slag us off.

As we saw against Newcastle.

If we recognise the strengths of Harry Kane and Son, get the ball to them enough and quickly were in with a chance. I hope Dele Alli's fit to play we've missed him BADLY he dares to do things people love and hate however you look at Alli he's attacking stats are unbelievabley brilliant.

Just hope we press the hell out of them out score out run them.

It won't be the same as Newcastle as there is no way Arse are sitting 11 people behind the ball at home against us. They will try to play it out from the back and we have to press them like Liverpool did high up the pitch, win the ball back and we should score. We scored twice against City. This game will be like that. I just hope we play a little better than we did versus them.

My concern with this game is our defence still looks very shaky and their attacking line are quick. It really is 50/50, but don't use the Newcastle game as a barometer.

As like last season they will press the shit out of us, so unless Poch has got them fired up, it's not gonna be pretty.

Not much to go on, but, from ArseMania:

"You dived kane stop embarrassing yourself ffs "
"Sp**s are extremely effective on the counter. We are extremely weak conceding counters. "
"could have been a late winner for Sp**s from Lo Celso if Kane wasn’t more interested in diving, awful how David Luiz let him go."
"Just saw the replay of the match and I must say that we were clearly the better side. Our main issue is still the defense making stupid mistakes, but that should improve drastically once Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin are back in full fitness."
"Have we ever had a midfielder give away as many penalties as Xhaka? Such a clumsy player."
"Overall, thoroughly enjoyed that. We took too long to get going and at 2-nil down I thought it was going to be one of those days but we did well to get ourselves back into it."
"Only Laca can hold his head up after this performance. Everyone else was flaky and played in patches. Laca gave it his all."
"Laca lost almost every ball before he scored. Guendouzi is the one that can hold his head up high. Wtf are you on?"
"This team is on the up. We will end up third."
"Kane is a massive ****, he always does it tries to initiate contact and then go down looking for a penalty. Genuinely wish bad things happen to him."
"if any of our midfielders had even a half decent game, we would have won the game. Laca turned the game around through sheer effort and bloody mindedness, otherwise we were dead and buried."
"What an irritating game. Could and should've won with the right team selection."
"I feel like overall we deserved to win, but i was constantly fearful of players like son and eriksen vs our haphazard defense. There are few teams that will be able to cause the damage that Liverpool and Sp**s can,"
"2 points dropped against a weak Sp**s side today"
"I don’t think it’s the mistakes that cost us the game. I think our lack of composure and ruthlessness in the final 3rd did."
"Really disappointed by the two goals we gifted them because I felt we dominated them from start to finish apart from that 10 minutes or so."

Opta fun fact: Since his Premier League debut in August 2016, no player has conceded more penalties in the competition than Granit Xhaka (five).

They paid £35m for him. Never forget.

They dominated us from start to finish! Yeah right lol.

We should of had a penalty for Dele as well, which they all conveniently ignore!

Did they have a legitimate chance after equalising aside from Ceballos' pot-shot? Leno made two world class stops, Kane hit the post and we potentially could have had another pen. They were not by far the better side at all.

Fans confuse being on the front-foot as being the better team all the time. Away to our biggest rival and top-four rival, we're always going to sit back. It was points dropped for us, not them.

We had six shots on target before they got their first and it came about 5 minutes before half time.

So they say they dominated from start to finish but for 40 minutes the Shots on Target column read: 0-6 :cautious:
