Gotta love their sense of humour:
"Also got offered a ticket in the home end for this and told my mate I'd rather spend the afternoon punching myself repeatedly in the balls."

To be fair, along with Everton they're one of the of the "big" clubs who have always been quite self-deprecating. I guess like us, it comes when you have had so long without success. You don't feel as entitled as the likes of Liverpool and the Gooners.

Fair play to the geordies, I feel sorry for them as they have such a great fan base and stadium but they have a mediocre manager after Rafa and an owner who doesn't seem to give a crap. Yet they can still have a laugh and banter about it.

Yeah, nice bloke, bad manager who unaccountably somehow still gets good jobs.

Think he only gets hired so the fans can be kept busy shouting mr potato head at him rather than direct anything at the board or owners

Yeah, nice bloke, bad manager who unaccountably somehow still gets good jobs.

He's not a bad manager at all, I think he's just a sucker for punishment.

He did wonders at Hull (nearly won the FA cup, remember!) despite the Allams not having the investment for a PL team (evidenced by what happened when they sacked him).

He got Villa to the cusp of promotion despite managing a very different model of ownership to the one that Dean Smith benefitted from, and he did pretty well at Wednesday in a short space of time.

That's pretty much how it is for these guys - they get somewhat thankless, impossible tasks with jobs at clubs whose ownership expects them to work miracles. Benitez did no more than these guys could have done at Newcastle, but his pedigree means that the pundits go on about how amazing a job he did.

That's not to say he's a quality manager - but he's by no means a 'bad' one. Same as Colin W, who nearly kept Cardiff up whilst playing reasonably decent football, and he has an unrivalled promotion record, but he's another people will say is a dinosaur that doesn't deserve jobs.

Exactly, a guy who hurt no-one, is doing nothing illegal or immoral was trending on twitter all fucking day because people are so empty and desperate for validation that they decided to pile on and get as many likes and retweets as they could because some guy likes to get his rocks off in a slightly kinky way. The same ****s who then hashtag bollocks about mental heath when it trends because it's really easy to make them feel better with no actual effort or intention to do anything meaningful.

(i also have no idea who he is aside from about three clips ive seen because i think they have an Arsenal or Man City fan who's a bit of a plum?)
Too right.

I really like TrueGeordie's channel and the stuff he does on The Kickoff with Loz. When I saw the stuff trending about him it was all pretty vague and I thought the worst. AKA sexuual assault, someone underage, etc. Then I was disgusted to find out it wasn't anything like that. It was purely bedroom talk in DMs between two consenting adults. It saddens me people were jumping on it the way they were as there's not really anything there to jump on besides some kinks and to be honest you have to either be absolutely no fun or have a complete lack of self awareness to be making fun of it the way they were.
