Levy wouldn’t allow it. Basically said he didn’t want wankers like him at his club.
I thought it was Citeh who refused to sell him to us and then West Ham a couple of years later.

Same Craig Bellamy who said our result against Real Madrid wasn't half as impressive as City beating Napoli?Sorry it’s Higginbotham, still a bloody stupid name.Must be his 3 caps for Gibraltar that make him qualified to be a pundit on sky he said it on the Debate last night. Was pretty funny he obviously hates us. Every time he mentioned top 4 was “United City Chelsea ....” literally couldn’t bring himself to say our name.
I tell you who loves us is Craig Bellamy.Actually quite rate him, funny feeling he will be a top manager.
Same. My dad and I still look at each other on the 90th if we’re 3 goals up and say ‘I don’t think we can lose now’.It was both, I've over 30 years of Spurs supporting reflexes ingrained into me, it's going to take a few years still until i get 'not happy until we're at least four goals ahead and less than five mins to go' out of my system. Same applies to my unnatural excitement about rumours of signing anyone from South America and my distrust of JVC products.

The mad thing is, I expect us to win every game. Even in the 90s and early 00s I always believed we would win. But in game, when it’s tight, I think every opposition attack will result in a goal.Optimist.
He made 4 appearances for Utd, yet they always lead with the 'Ex Man Utd player' bollocks.I’m pretty sure they add “ex Manchester United and Stoke player” when introducing him so people might think he might have some gravitas with his opinions. Not quite the same if they jut said “Ex Stoke defender”
No chance, It'll be Poch/Kane/Alli to Madrid and for how much ££This weeks Sunday Supplement will be interesting. If there’s an ounce of credibility between them they’ll focus on a landmark win which shows how far we’ve come without throwing money at the club.
A weary spurs side take to the field, and produce a lacklustre display. Palace defend valiantly, and score on the break with a goal from our talisman ‘Wilfried Zaha’!!
The start of a long unbeaten streak.
I have hope as every game in November and December (bar the City game) is winnable.
Always believing!! COYP
Really cannot see us getting anything from the game
Loving the optimism.
Sadly, 1-0; but we will do it with pride; and they will have to work hard for it.
They love Wembley now.
4-1 Spurs
A resounding Spurs win in which we fail to score
1-2
I just have an inkling we'll come out blazing while Spurs are still daydreaming about beating Madrid.
I think Townsend will get his first of the season and the other from Cabaye. Alli will score one which despite being a deflection off his a*se will be hailed by the pundits as a work of genius.
Spurs 3 - 0 Palace
Let's not forget that Real Madrid went into the Tottenham game on the back of a dreadful performance in the 2-1 defeat against Girona and are 8 pts behind Barcelona who are top of La Liga so they are hardly 'Flying high' at the moment.Take nothing away from Tottenham for an excellent win but they weren't playing the Real Madrid of old.
2-0, but a respectable performance.
Wilf kicked out of the game, Alli doing some nasty dirty underhand stuff, as per usual, pundits say Wilf goes down too easily having been clattered by three Spurs players simultaneously, then go on to say how you don't want to remove the edge from Alli's game when he is caught on CCTV leaping the barriers into the family enclosure and kicking a blind kid in a wheelchair in the head
Don't see what we can do against an outfit that's just played Real Madrid off the park. Real were poor, it is true, but still. Batten down the hatches
Top four teams are tough to beat but this is a good time to get them tough midweek game the early kick off helps as well I will have some of the 12/1 as its good value for the above reasons. 2-3 Son Kane Wilf RLC Luka. 58,345. AT and Wilf will give them problems i would play no striker and have an up for it RLC in a attacking role FM at r/b. All bets are off if Sakho is out and we start with Sako up front
I turned on the telly to watch Spurs v Real and thought they were Real.
They were all over them playing in white. Then I realised. They were very very good.
Will be hard to get anything off them. The sort of unlikely scenario we often shine in.
Bring on the sunshine Palace
we will lose 2-0 ... they don't go for the jugular like both mancs, just 2-0 after 15 min and then a stroll I fancy, unless it becomes Motson's worst lead in football and Wilf goes mad trying to advertise for their first team next season (not January please). We live in hope.

If anyone is wondering what our opponents fans are saying...

This thread's going a bit Bellamy!
He made 4 appearances for Utd, yet they always lead with the 'Ex Man Utd player' bollocks.
So glad that it wasn't just me who immediately thought of this!
Did not know where to post this but such a good touch by a fellow Spurs fan.

Why bother giving them the viewing figures?Soccer Saturday were a disgrace today:
About 10 secs praise for Madrid
Selling poch to Real
Selling Kane/dele to Real
Winks is another carroll/mason
Flaky because we lost 1-0 at OT
Squad can’t cope with CL and PL
Have to win something
Honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
