I don't hate her though...

Not really my taste in music but gotta admit she can sing.

Seems like a good gal who supports the club. I am good with her.
I would wager that the first non-football event at the new ground will be an Adele concert.

I fucking hope Kane and Rashford do start hitting 50 goals a season.

England might finally have a chance to get past the last 16 in a major tournament...
I want Kane to do it for Spurs, but any knock on effect to the England cause should only be incidental, in other words Spurs is the priority, not England. For their sake I dont mind of players playing for England or any country that they are nationals of, but for Spurs' sake I would rather they didn't because of injuries, tiredness etc

There were some classic callers into Talksport on last nights drive time show, where they asked the question whether Harry Kane is world class.. They had a couple of daft twats supporting Arsenal and Chelsea respectively, who had absolutely no idea what they were saying and completely contradicted themselves through out their rants... The common belief is that Kane is not world class because he s not won anything.. That was their one and only blinkered view, irrespective that he's been top scorer for the last two years in the most competitive league on the planet..

Unfortunately the majority of football fans believe what they read in the papers and watch on sky sports so have no actual opinion, just that regurgitated daily in those forms of media.

I think most football fans are pretty well informed and have pretty sensible opinions, but they're almost exclusively limited to their own team.

A West Brom fan could tell you all the reasons why they'd rather see Craig Dawson playing rather than another player, or why one particular left back we've never heard of is better than another one at the club, but that's where his knowledge would end.

And that's when they listen to the media and talk absolute shite about players of other teams. I'm sure we all do it about other teams as well - we probably think we're talking sense and half the time we're probably way off the mark.

Of course there's a big chunk of football fans who know fuck all about anything and talk crap all the time. But then that's football fans for you - it's the People's Game. People meaning thick chavs.

My sister in law's partner is a Huddersfield fan and text me last night to ask if we can "please take it easy on us on Saturday. I'd a 2 nil defeat the way you're playing away"
I replied that it was exactly these sort of games that we were famous for cocking up.
He thinks they'll have a go which should play in to our hands, says they have been defending quite well but he can't see them scoring past us. Hope he is right and we get a few
They might have a go at it. Wagner hasnt exactly had them sit back this year.

If Adele had sung this at the last game then it would of been perfect.

Away kit. No idea if they still use it.

I like that song of Adele that basically called out my nightmare before a game against the arse:

'Fears of Van Der Vaart, injured in his sleep'

I saw some Spurs fans saying Harry Winks is crap, he doesn't do anything well, before the Apoel game.

I'm guessing they must be the Null Hypothesis :-O

In response to another fan excited about playing us:

Steady on, wait til we play a big team, one that's won the league more times than us for a start

And you thought Southerners don't know anything about things North of Watford. From the Spurs forum....."I've been to Huddersfield before. It's a strange place - a pit village surrounded by striking hills"
Ah, I remember the good old days when all the Town supporters arrived at the game grimy faced direct from their shift at one of the scores of pits surrounding the town. Pit head winding gear everywhere you looked, cleverly disguised as textile mills......

really looking forward to this game against spurs. seein some top players in kane, ali ,erikson etc. if we get a point from this game it will be a bonus. kane on fire at the moment be interesting to see how schindler does against him. think shindler been superb so far this season. my first night game watching town was against spurs in 1970 was 1-1 draw. they had gilzean, chivers, peters and jennings. remember jennings making a point blank save from frankie, frankie shaking his head in disbelief he,d saved it was right behind goal at scoreboard end. a 1-1 tomorrow would be very happy

Yes, my thoughts too. Just going to enjoy the game, come what may. Some lads at work are praying for a mass out break of gastroenteritis in the Spurs camp. Not me. Av waited years to see quality footballers at our place. What's the point of being in the Premier league if you hope you never see the best players in the country, or in some cases the world? Nowt to loose in these matches. Bonus if we get out at all.
We'll have done alright if we keep it to a 2 goal deficit.

Think a lot of us, me included, are sad that we can’t go to WHL (though the away section never looked great). I went in 71 or 72 - 4-1 defeat with Gilzean getting 2, but too young to appreciate it really.

Apologies if someone else has made the same comment (this is a very long post already and I'm pretty sure they have), but Spurs are without doubt the biggest team we have played in the league since 1972. It occurred to me whilst sunning myself on the beach in Majorca earlier this week that these milestones just keep on coming (transfer records broken for fun/first game in top division since '72/first win/first home game etc)and I'm still pinching myself (thought it might have worn off by now). Let's make it third win in top flight since 1972. Sing your hearts out for the lads. UTMT.

Fucking Town being too good, never get any bloody sleep hardly, night before a game these days. Awake at 2am, tried going back to sleep, given up. Was never like this last time we were this good, 70-72, mind you I wasn't 65 then, and when we lost there was always beer and girls as a fallback comfort zone. It's like fucking sex, you start wishing you were too bloody old to bother with it, but in both cases keep getting reminders you're not. (not yet anyway) Apologies if that's too much information for some youngsters on here.
Anyway, ready for the 09.17 train from Eaglescliffe, so will probably have a rare bath shortly, (shower normally), read a bloody book, and while away a bit more time. I'd like to say that being supposedly older and wiser, i don't really expect us to win the league, and should just enjoy the football and artistry of such as Schindler. Unfortunately I haven't got any wiser, every game is a nightmare funfest of tension, too much beer, and losing your friggin voice.
Oh for the days of Cozy Powell when boredom was the order of the day

Generally a likeable, good humoured bunch, a lot of older fans who remember football pre premiership and speak well about our old greats. I love how much this means to them too, not in that HAHA West Ham way, I mean I love that they're enjoying being in this league, playing us, and haven't been warped. You can tell they really love their club.
