As you are not old enough to remember the shit before Enic where at numerous points pre Sugar there might not have been a spurs to support i will give you the benefit of the doubt.

But why would replacing an investment company make any difference with another investment company, the attractiveness of us would be that we are actually viable and generate actual money.

And for Man City, Chelsea there are far more very rich investors who don't realise what a money pit this sport can be untill its to late for yhem and the club are struggling.

Enic are no way perfect but are better then alot of the other investors that are out there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ENIC a British firm, owned by an Englishman and run by an Englishman? They have made us the best run club in the country (financially) and taken us from destitute no hopers to the cusp of regular attendance at the top table, with the best training facilities in Europe, arguably the best stadium in the country pending and renown as having one of the best academies in Europe.

An honourable mention for Lord Sugar here, as it was he who saved us from bankruptcy, but it is ENIC who have advanced us. We could so easily have taken the same route as the likes of Leeds et al.

So often you hear that great teams are built on solid foundations. It is no different for building, or rebuilding, a club.

Our foundations are rock solid and this is due to ENIC, not in spite of them. The next decade should see us reap the benefits of their work in spades.

I despair at the inability, or refusal, to see or understand this fundamental truth.

The number of Varuka Salt's following this club is horrifying sometimes.

If this is the case I suspect West Brom's losses this season might be under a lot more scrutiny, especially where they favourites.

ENIC is an English firm, created and owned by Tavistock, that is now tasked with the sole responsibility of running Tottenham Hotspur FC and it's properties. Tavistock is run and owned by an englishmen, but it is not a British firm. It's a Bahamas firm. Headquartered and founded in the Bahamas. But it has a major focus in the United States, particularly Lake Nona in Florida, a community that they pretty much created themselves and where it's owner, Joe Lewis, apparently lives.

If you've honestly posted in the wrong thread then I apologise in advance, but what the fuck has any of this shit got to do with a WBA takeover?

I replied to the post about ENIC.

Personally, I'll be surprised if anything comes from this supposed takeover. We'll see though. The transfer window should tell us alot. A large outlay or no outlay would probably mean a sale and they either need to remain stagnant or want to improve the product for the new owner and possibly get more money.. Same as usual would mean no sale.

I do wonder what this will mean for Pulis

Spoiler alert dude! It's on my sky planner!

Not really. The only attention I've paid the Women's World Cup was revisiting Hope Solo's private album.

Righto.

So ENIC, Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy are English.

Thanks for correcting me.

Hang on ...

Because it's not going to happen. Blackstone and/or Blackrock purely exist to make money for their investors even more so than ENIC and football most certainly isn't on their radar because they want to minimise exposure to avoidable risk and maximise returns.

There's also the issue that ENIC have turned the club around so there is no value to be gained by having a VC/PE firm buying the club because there is very little value that can be taken from the club without massive investment that will not guarantee an increase in value or improved performance.

Finally, there are the people who actually invest in these funds. Mostly pension fund managers, the middle aged and people like me with a bit of cash left over from bonus time and if it turned out that it was going to be used to buy Spurs then most of them would go berserk.

But if you want to play the name an outlandish person/institution with money to buy Spurs then I'm game.

It's a shame there isn't a "get fucked off" rating, as I would have duly given you one, sir.
