My favourite season was when nearly every player had their own song (Eriksen #23, Toby Toby Toby, oooooh Moussa Dembele, He’s magic you know, etc)

We’re a long way off those levels but slowly getting there with.
  • One of our own
  • Nice one Sonny
  • Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie
  • He’s the reason
  • Huuuuuuuugggggoooooooooo
  • I love Eric Dier, Eric Dier loves me
  • Antonio, Antonio, Antoniooooo
  • Oh what a night (surely will come back next season)

Main thing I can’t stand (ironically) is the recent return of ‘Stand up if you hate Arsenal’ song. Why the hell would I be thinking of them while watching Spurs. Keep it focussed on us rather that the Woolwich Wanderers

Agree. It was kind of defiant when they were dominating us every year, but hasn't felt relevant for a long time.

I would sing the simple old school one for Hojbjerg

He's here, he's there, he's every fucking where, Hojbjerg

Assuming the pronunciation of Hojbjerg is said the correct way. Not least because it reminds me of the Richmond (from Ted Lasso) chant for their hard man Roy Kent

I thought it might die out as most games I used to go to, it was sung mainly after stewards had been forcing people to sit down. With the safe standing areas I thought that might have removed the frequency a bit…

Didn't work brilliant there though - really needs a three syllable name - Ollie Skipp? (I'd say Harry Winks but y'know...)

Feel we need one for Romero around his tough tackling…

Tune of ‘Don’t cry for me Argentina’:

Don't mess with Christian Romero
The truth is, he’ll smash your legs in
Wins every tackle…..
Loves 50/50’s…..
Our favourite Argie
Since Ossie Ardiles

But knowing us we like to keep things simple so will prob just get “Du du duuuuuuu Chris-ti-an Rom-ero”

I was thinking the same thing mate! those 15/16 16/17 seasons when we had the (Eriksen #23, Toby Toby Toby, oooooh Moussa Dembele, He’s magic you know, etc) was class! Its slowly getting back towards that as you say with the above, also don't forget the Ben Davies song :
"You to me are everything,
our welshman wearing 33,
BEN DAVIES...BEN DAVIES...

You came to tottenham from Swansea,
you're born to play in our back three,
Ben Davies...Ben Davies

Also Sessengonnnn, Ryaaannn Sessengonnnn (na,na,na,na,na,na,na) Ryannn Sessengoonnn (Van Der Vaart Style)

Also with you on the stand up if you hate arsenal song, its boring. The North London is ours and Arsenal fan on a string ones are much better. I remember going to plenty of away NLD games at The Emirates and they'd only have 2 songs : "Arseeeenal.. and stand up if you hate tottenham", so boring, so smalltime.

However the best song and atmosphere for me was the Martin Jol ones: (2nd only to the Rafa Van Der Vaart song)
"I love Martinnnnn Jooolllll, Marinnnn Joollll loves meeeee, I loveee Martinnnn Joolllll, Martinnn Jollll loves meeee"
"He's Jol, He's Jol, He's Martin Martin Jol, He's got no hair we don't care Martin Martin Jol".

Singing those at the match under the lights when we knew he was getting fired basically at half time was one of the best and most emotional atmospheres along with the final game at the old WHL.

Jol had great songs. Those 2 plus Martin Jols blue and white army were great.

Eric Dier has taken the "I love" song, hopefully we can sing it a bit more next season.

Harsh on Lamela, but worth it just to rhyme "Ardiles" with "50s!"

I always thought the Jol song went "he's got nowhere but we don't care"

Currently, the song 'Oh when the Spurs, go marching in...' is dominating far too much. It's a great song and it gets everyone involved but nevertheless, it's dominating and restricting our repertoire.
