Are coming. Portsmouth owe us £5m, they can't pay, so they either seize to exist as a club or pay us another way...

One day, a transfer window will occur in which we don't bring back any ex-players.

It will seem normal.

I do appreciate the irony that Harry took a bigger job, but because he basically bankrupted his former club by purchasing all of our players, he can't afford to spend money and is haunted by his Christmas past.

I can appreciate it....but I fucking HATE it

As long as we keep 4th spot I don't care if we sign Mabbut.

I think you'll find that Porsmouth bankruptcy came about because, having been able to afford the players and wages Harry assigned to various signings, their owners personal finances went to pot and they could no longer foot the bill that they once were able to, and subsequent owners, long after our manager left, went in with the intention of turnings things around but they instead made things worse.

You don't like Harry or the signings he makes, fine, but his only job is to make a club reach certain goals within the limitations imposed on him, and by and large he's done that both with us (so far) and Portsmouth before.

Oh, and I reckon that if he hadn't brought in Defoe, Johnson, Crouch, Muntari, Diarra and Yakubu for as little as he did, they wouldn't have spun such a huge profit overall on that collection of players and right now they'd be in even bigger shit, if they actually existed anymore.

Look, Harry only did what his chairman let him. But the irony still sticks. You get your knickers in a twist to easily.

No twisted knickers, perfectly happy and calm here, just felt like responding to a cheap and incorrect comment with an informed comment that had worth and substance.

i'm not bothered by this at all - it's CB cover which is pretty important, and its GK cover which is really important. they're not world beaters but they'll fill in where they're needed.

I don't see how Harry gets the blame their finances, surely they have accountants etc. David James said that he was told that winning the FA could wreck the club because of all the bonuses the club would have to pay out. So who done the sums when they offered the bonuses etc to the players surely its wasn't Harry.

Exactly. If Gomes had've gone off on Tuesday, BEN ALNWICK would have been the replacement.

Unfortunately some people are bitter today as Harry has let everyone's favourite GDS go on loan.

Personally I would much rather a more experienced backup keeper.
I don't think Begovic will be good enough for us.....of course he is an improvement on Alnwick but surely we can find someone else.
