Too soon I think. Surely let him stay at mk dons if they get promoted so he gets some championship experience?I really hope he gets a chance with the first team next year

Do we know how Troy played overall and what the MK Dons fans think of him?
He needs to play regularly, if that won't be with us then another loan seems the most sensible choice. Will be 20.5 when next season starts. Really interesting what we decide to do with him. If in CL we will need numbers. I think he’s that perfect young player to have about and you do have to consider the benefits of training with Kane everyday. But I can also see the merits of a good championship loan.

That makes it:
41 appearances all competitions
8 goals
6 assists
Over 2900 minutes of playing time
All for a 2nd place MK Dons team that has 4 games left in their season. I would classify this loan as a success. One of my biggest worries about Parrott was his robustness and ability to stay healthy for majority of a season and he's seems to have gotten stronger and more resilient from his time out on loan.
Can't wait to see him in pre-season later this year, he has an opportunity to convince Conte that he can be called on, especially as the 5 sub rule goes into effect next season.
Great that he's had so many appearances whilst on loan and for one of the best teams in that league as well
The concern is the goal tally being a bit low.
It's difficult to judge these things, especially seeing how young players develop at different speeds.
But if we're being honest, he's probably not going to have a particularly big impact in the PL or European competition next season, if he's only got 7 league goals in 37 appearances in the third tier of English football.
I mean league 1 to the PL is a big step. At 20 he's doing okay. He is certainly behind the developmental path he was initially earmarked for but it's good that he now looks to have a good springboard to build on.Shouldn't be IMO. According to MK Dons fans, his overall play and performances have been quite good. Even when he hasn't scored, he's either assisted or been really heavily involved in each game. At 20 years old, what I'm looking at/for is commitment, desire to work hard and just a overall hunger to improve.
Fair point. I personally think he's ready to be in the 1st team squad full time starting next season. With the multiple competitions and the 5 sub rule going into effect next season, I can see him starting a decent amount of cup games and making it off the bench to come in for the likes of Kane, Son etc. It will be down to Conte to decide what happens but at the very least, I hope Troy is given an opportunity to impress during pre-season.

Will he stay with us next season? Depends on how he does in preseason I suspect. His principle probable, however, is Scarlett is well ahead of him in the pecking order and how many young strikers can a club accommodate? Surely one of them will go out on loan.
Oh shit, I've seen that exact same debate on here! ?

I think he's better off getting regular football somewhere in the championship next season. Obviously MKDs makes sense but we also don't want him to be in a side that gets battered constantly so there's a judgement to make thereI mean league 1 to the PL is a big step. At 20 he's doing okay. Well we haven't seen anything from Parrott either, but when you have a player who both Mourinho and Conte have singled out for praise, and the level of praise it's quite clear where the pecking order lies.I think he's better off getting regular football somewhere in the championship next season. As an aside I've still seen nothing from Scarlett in senior appearances to justify him being ahead of Parrott who is doing it at a real club. But I admit I haven't watched any of the youth games
